You are living in the past, Richard. Radio 3 appears to be down to 160kbps discrete stereo, permanently.
Actually I don't normally live in the DAB world at all. Not being a Radio 3 listener I didn't have access to any music broadcast on DAB with any reasonable sound quality. Hence these days I only really use DAB to listen to occasional sporting events, such as the World Cup.

Mind you, if they have lowered the quality of Radio 3 permanently, I can think of better uses for the extra bits than a trailer for Sports Extra.
