It certainly can! When you 'tune' into a BBC station and select it you
get the option to listen "Live" or "On Demand". With the latter you can
then select the programme you require, day of the week and start time.
It even knows that 'The Archers' isn't on on Saturdays :-)

No need to be connected to a PC, just a broadband wireless network. You
can use it to listen to any music etc. stored on your PC if you wish.

I'm not entirely sure that we're talking about the same thing. Say, for example, you go to the Radio-4 'listen-again' web page at:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/progs/listenagain.shtml

you'll see under 'S' a programme called 'Swimming Dragons'. Will this box of tricks let you listen to this programme?
