No experience with pocket radios. However, a friend did have problems
with a Roberts RD12. It would only work in one part of the flat, and
was unable to pick up some of the stations. I returned it for
replacement with an Evoke, which picked up all the stations and worked
in other parts of the flat. To me this suggests that Pure has a
better chip; the same may apply to the pocket versions.
