"Give me my DAB radio"

Just listening to Jo Wiley on Radio 1 (I try to avoid listening to Jo
Wiley but I've got to write a review of a radio), and she just mentioned
DAB about 4 times in one link. It went like this:
"blah blah we've got a competition where you can win a new DAB radio.
blah blah you can get one of these brilliant DAB radios blah blah you
have to phone in and when we answer you have to say "give me my DAB
radio" and you can win a DAB radio."
15 minutes later she mentioned the competition again, so 2 more
mentions.
10 minutes later she said "DAB" 3 more times, then she rang up the
person who said "give me my DAB radio", then Jo Wiley said "because you
said "give me my DAB radio"" you qualify to win a new DAB radio. It
really is the best way to listen to the radio; it really brings you
up-to-date."
Running tally: DAB mentioned 10 times in 43 minutes!
Then 4 minutes later there was a Scott Mills jingle where he mentioned
that you win a DAB radio. 11 mentions in 47 minutes. Jesus Christ.
10.51 - blah blah "how do I get a DAB radio" blah blah "and then you'll
get your DAB radio" - 13 mentions in 51 minutes!!!
Then again, you have to say that if Jo Wiley has to mention DAB in
almost every link between records then she's obviously got nothing to
say. It's been my view for a long time that she's far too boring for
Radio 1. I think Vernon Kay would be far better from 10 to 1, but I
guess they want to keep female DJs for the female audience, but they
could at least use Sara Cox. She may not have been very successful on
the breakfast show, but she's a hell of a lot better than Jo Wiley.
11.10 "we might give away a DAB radio, just keep listening" - 14
mentions. God, have I got to listen to Wiley for another 1 hour 50
minutes? Nah, can't be doing with that.
11.25 "get yourself a DAB radio" - 15 mentions
11.29 "win yourself a DAB radio" - 16 mentions
Wow, she really has NOTHING to say.
11.30 "we haven't rung someone back to win their DAB radio" "we might
ring up blah blah for someone to win their DAB radio" - 18 mentions
There's a whole wide world out there and she has nothing of interest to
say.
11.39 "give me my DAB radio" "you can win your DAB radio" rings up "give
me my digital radio" Wiley: "you win a DAB radio" "congratulations, you
get your DAB radio" "hello now give me my DAB radio" - 23 mentions.
12.00 jingle "and you could win a DAB radio" - 24 mentions
In 2 hours she managed 24 mentions of "DAB".
There's going to be a full week of this, apparently.
And they say that DAB is sold because it provides more choice. Bollocks.
DAB sells because it is endlessly promoted. End of story.
