Croiset threatening me via email

Croiset emailed me on Saturday complaining that my website refers to
him:

http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/archive_2005_July_Sept.htm#france_trialing_digital_radio_via_dvb-h

"and Nicolas Croiset from the DAB transmission company, VDL, even
ludicrously suggested that DVB-H required 30 dB higher powers -- that's
1000-times higher than DAB!! As the BBC runs numerous 10 kW DAB
transmitters then 1000-times higher than that is 10 MW of power!! The
word 'lie' may well be pretty emotive, but its dictionary definition is
"verb: tell an untruth; pretend with intent to deceive", so I'm afraid
it is perfectly justified in these instances because these people are
mis-representing figures with the intention to deceive."

I had decided just to keep the imbecile happy by removing the bit about
him being a liar (I do maintain that he is without doubt a pathological
liar, but it's an old article that few people will read, so for a quiet
life I think it's easier just to remove the reference to him being a
liar).

Now, though, he's saying:

"No you need the agreement of the people. The people is the author of
it's
own text so you must get it's approval before any publication."

and

"Not with the french laws. I will launch the procedure this week."

Now, I'm no expert on French law, but I'm an expert on where I live, and
I don't live in France, and therefore I'm not under French jurisdiction.
So WTF is Freak Boy going on about French laws for?

Moreover, if you had to receive the permission of the person before you
can write anything public about them then the French media wouldn't be
able to report on scandals, because the person being written / reported
about would just say that they didn't give their permission for the
article. So, I think it's nonsense to suggest that you have to have the
other person's permission before you can write about them.

What shall I do?
