She's a bit wierd looking that Heather Couper. Have you seen her skin
close up? Looks like the craters on the moon.
AC Clarke was my fave author when I was a teenager. My English teacher
had never heard of SF so I used to nick Mr Clarke's short stories and
produce a precis version as creative writing. And I once got the words
to 'All Over Now' (Rolling Stones) by playing the single over and over
again, and I claimed it as my own poetry. The other lads were stuffing
socks in their mouths as poor old 'Dinky' Dalton praised the 'raw
energy' of my composition. Things got dangerous when a school recital
loomed. I bunked off that day.
One time I was 'volunteered' to read out the results of some stupid
competition at assembly. I realised that the results were presented in
a form that lent itself to the sing-song rhythm of the radio football
results. So that's how I did it. They used to use the cane in those
days.
