Easily.

What is? DAB is a dreadful digital communication system. It's 15 years
old and is well and truly out of date.

Becaues it is a crap system.

At least I understand the theory, whereas you don't. Or can you explain
to me the merits and demerits of various FEC coding schemes? And do you
even understand the advantages and disadvantages of synchronous
modulation compared to differential modulation? Although I'll give you
that you should easily be able to see the benefit of using 16-QAM
compared to QPSK......

Yes, it bloody well is. But I'm afraid you're not qualified to say one
way or the other.

7 channels, actually. And we'll get 5 more, and still the audio quality
will be dreadful.

How many f*cking times do you need telling?
You will not get 192kbps stations.
You will not get 14-16 DAB channels in Paris, because you seem to think
that all available channels can then be used simultaneously everywhere
around the sodding country; they cannot. You have to use multi-frequency
networks.

And how much does it cost to implement DAB compared to other systems?
The answer is that DAB is very expensive to implement compared to DMB,
DVB-H and DRM, which will mean that they will try and reduce bit rates
in order to lower the cost of investment, which will result in you not
getting your 192kbps stations.
Both VDL and TDF(?) said they wanted to use 128kbps for stereo radio
stations on DAB.
You are dreaming if you think you will get good audio quality on DAB.
Simple as that.
