Perhaps you're not keeping up here? The HE AAC decoder will already be
in the receiver if the receiver supports DRM.


If I want to make a DAB-receiver (DAB-only), why would I use a DAB/DRM
chipset (which means I have to pay the royalties for it), if I can just
use a DAB-only chipset without the DRM functionality (and the additional
royalty-cost).
