up. The best thing for you to do if possible is to get around
english speakers a lot.
Try using some english idiom search sites:
http://www.usingenglish.com/reference/idioms/
http://www.learn-english-today.com/idioms/idioms_proverbs.html
Also, google idioms ('all by myself') and see if there are any
hits. Many times they will be references to music groups, etc.
