Hi,
I have created an encrypted volume and have moved a file into it. I
have a few questions.
I put the file into TC using Internet Explorer mousing it to Local
Disk M. I could not seem to move the file to M: c:\user\....\enc vol.
Is this normal?
Whats the error?
On moving, the Word document changed to a little square pane. It did
not move into the encrypted volume. I was not sure if it was meant to
or not?
Can I control the Encrypted Volume through IE, like a normal folder?
Create directories, etc.
IE as its name indicates, Internet Explorer, is only used for the
internet. You probably mean Windows Explorer, you can use a TC
container like a normal external disk.
Yes, I did mean Windows Explorer
If I create other encrypted volumes can they also us M, or must I
select other drives for each volume?
M will cease to exist when you close it, the drive letter is not
permanent, you choose what letter you want each time.
Can a rescue disk be created for a volume or volumes in case the
password gets corrupted?
you can back up the volume headers
What about the contents?
What is the keyfiles dropdown used for?
For keyfiles, reat the included TC manual for info on this and come
back with specific doubts
Thanks
PS. Can I test the encryption by viewing a file in say Word and
revealing the random code?
You may corrupt the file if you do
