Have to now rely on web based remailers or direct posting through a

the solution is to dump vista and return to xp... or linux

Linux? I alsways wondered about that. Will WIndows programs work in
LInux? Say like gpg and JBN or QS?

GnuPG is a Linux program with a maintained Windows port. It actually
works better under Linux. Same with Mixmaster, Tor, etc. And there's no
need for anything like JBN or QS on a Linux box because those Linux
anonymity tools seamlessly integrate with standard clients like Mutt
and slrn, or can be glued to almost any client with simple scripts.

Plus.... you don't have to worry about viruses and other nasties
mucking things up, there's a REAL firewall available, you can leave
things running for months at a time without rebooting, you can install
and uninstall software without rebooting, that software is free and
usually better than any Windows counterpart, and you have nearly
unlimited choices about how your machine is set up, it's look-and-feel,
etc.

That's a link to most user friendly and popular end user distribution
available today in my opinion. Download the desktop version, burn the
CD, boot from that CD and you'll be in a full blown Linux "live"
environment that won't touch your current setup. It's nasty slow
compared to a real installation but it will give you a taste and let
you make sure everything works. If you like it, there's tools to
repartition your drive(s) and install along side whatever you're running
now, or you can cowboy up and nuke your existing setup so you can start
life over fresh, and free as in speech AND beer. :-)
