The referrer ... I forgot, how stupid. So it is much easier for them to
track. I still find it impolite (they are harvesting information which
wasnt meant for them) but if it is that easy than there is probably
nothing one can say and it is information that almost any webserver is
recording anyway.

Since I doubt that Google is transferring the search terms to Amazon
(not before "Googlezone"), Amazon is probably setting up special
pages for the Google bot that allows them to conclude what I have been
searching for.
I know that Google is storing my search terms and when I am logged in
they can profile my searching (which sucks, but at least I know it).
But I wouldn't suspect hat Amazon can plot my original Google search
terms when I click on a Google search result (and profile me, when I am
a logged in Amazon user). That bothers me.

Google is indeed passing your search terms to Amazon. The 'Referer' header
of the request to Amazon will carry the URL of the Google page you came
from. The search terms are part of that URL.
