Simple, because people are CHEAP. They want everything for free and in your case, their are several free applications available that use the ciphers you provide and they have been around for quite some time.

And as with most cheapskates in these groups, if you charge for it (actually expect to be compesated for your time and effort) then you must be a scam, because everything should be free.
