I assume you're saying that the age of consent is relative. There are, in
fact, places where the age of consent is less than 16.

I think that locking someone up for life or permanently implanting an RFID
chip for having mutually agreed upon sex 3 minutes before the 16th
birthday is silly.

My daughter became pregnant when she was 14. I was pissed, of course, but
she loved the 21 y/o guy. She's now raising her daughter, but not with
the "father."

I contemplated filing charges. I really did. The main reason I didn't

the pregnancy (and a somewhat delinquent daughter) to deal with.

IOW, you didn't want your piss poor parenting examined by a court of law

Do you think that if the laws against "child molestation" were Draconian
that this "gentleman" would have acted differently? He would have perhaps
suffered more after the fact, but that does nothing to mitigate the sex or
the pregnancy.
