(Slightly OT) Can DCPP encrypt a C: drive with bad sectors?

Just want to know before I try and encrypt. I recall reading something along
the lines that if it doesnt finish encrypting, or runs into errors, all the
hard drive is useless on the next boot or something? I encrypted D: fine, but
C:...well, thats the root drive. Want it to go perfect.

Sorry if this is too OT
