So you see, the earth was cooling for 100,000 years straight,
til
it peaked in coldness around 18,000 years ago, and has been
warming and will continue to warm for another 90,000 years.
It's a big jump to assume that it must warm for 90,000 years
just because there's evidence that it cooled for approximately the
same amount of time. That "This was like that, so that must be
like this" logic seldom works.
In fact, this is a basic idea of MAGIC. The basis for belief in voodoo
dolls and such.
