It's the american thing to do.

No it's not.. it's a criminal thing to do... or even say.

You party fanatic people (both sides) need to settle down and get
normal again.. do real people things;
chop a cord of wood, paint a room, go mark a fence line with your
neighbor, change the brake pads..

It's a huge unecessary burden to live life saddled with hate.
Perhaps the best way to get to such a state is to try not to lie.. a
rarity these days.
