This morning while out for my daily run I observed an uncommon sight
-- the planets Venus and Jupiter close together in the Southeastern
sky in near conjunction.
Then I return to the Usenet where I find Patriot Games posting an
article by Ann Coulter -- a conjunction of fools.
And it's not even a full moon.
( NOTE: For those of you who are interested -- check out the SE sky
for the next few days before sunrise -- best before 0645. You'll see
two bright objects, one brighter than the other. The brighter one is
the planet Venus, the other is the giant planet Jupiter. Also, on 3
and 4 Feb, the crescent moon will join the two planets. As the
calendar progresses, Venus and Jupiter will move apart. Meanwhile, of
course, our good brother PG will continue, daily, to conjoin with his
loony friends. Maybe the stars and the planets really do influence
human behavior. )
