You FAILED to CITE your claim that: "The vast majority of crime in the U.S.
is not even reported."

Of course they do. These aren't claims, these are actual facts.
Try reading them. And try taking a closer look. If the math is too hard
for you I'll be happy to explain it.
Assaults (per capita) (most recent) by countryhttp://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_ass_percap-crime-assaults-per-c...
#6 United States: 7.56923 per 1,000 people
#8 United Kingdom: 7.45959 per 1,000 people
#9 Canada: 7.11834 per 1,000 people
#10 Australia: 7.02459 per 1,000 people
Assault victims (most recent) by countryhttp://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_ass_vic-crime-assault-victims
#2 United Kingdom: 2.8%
#3 Australia: 2.4%
#5 Canada: 2.3%
#11 United States: 1.2%
Why does the US have slightly more Assaults yet drastically less Assault
Victims? You may need to think about this a minute or two. The number of
Assaults is a KNOWN number. How do we know this number? Because this is
what people report to the police who report it to the FBI (and the UN). How
can there be drastically FEWER reported Assault Victims than actual
Assaults? Because, as I post here nearly every day, the homeowner who
shoots the criminal is NOT reported as a victim!
Do you see how your (unsupported and unsupportable) claim that most "crime
in the U.S. is not even reported" is ALSO IRRELEVANT?
Using Population (see below) let's get the REAL picture of this problem.
Assaults range from 7.0 to 7.5 per 1,000 people. Not a big difference. But
there is a HUGE difference in Assault victims especially when population is
considered. The UK, Canada and Australia SEEM to have about twice as many
Assault victims as the US but the US is EIGHT TIMES larger meaning the UK,
Canada and Australia have EIGHT TIMES more Assault victims than they would
normally be expected to have if our societies were similar.
But our societies ARE similar except for ONE KEY difference: we're capable
of fighting back and much more frequently we do fight back.
Compare Rapes and Rape Victims:
Rapes (per capita) (most recent) by countryhttp://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_rap_percap-crime-rapes-per-capita
#3 Australia: 0.777999 per 1,000 people
#5 Canada: 0.733089 per 1,000 people
#9 United States: 0.301318 per 1,000 people
Rape victims (most recent) by countryhttp://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_rap_vic-crime-rape-victims
#5 Australia: 1%
#7 Canada: 0.8%
#14 United States: 0.4%
Population (most recent) by countryhttp://www.nationmaster.com/graph/peo_pop-people-population
#3 United States: 296,410,400
#21 United Kingdom: 60,226,500
#36 Canada: 32,299,000
#50 Australia: 20,329,000
Australia has 2.5 times as many Rapes, but when factored for Population its
really TWENTY FIVE times as many.
Canada has 2.4 times as many Rapes, but when factored for Population its
really TWENTY TWO times as many.
Unless you think that Canadians, and by some form of magic, Australians are
BOTH about TWENTY THREE times more insane than Americans you're stuck with
the key difference being that Americans are armed, willing to fight back and
DO fight back and THIS FACT is a deterrent.
Compare Burglaries:
Burglaries (per capita) (most recent) by countryhttp://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_bur_percap-crime-burglaries-per...
#1 Australia: 21.7454 per 1,000 people
#7 United Kingdom: 13.8321 per 1,000 people
#9 Canada: 8.94425 per 1,000 people
#17 United States: 7.09996 per 1,000 people
Australia has nearly FIFTY TIMES the burglaries as the US by Population
factor.
The UK has nearly TEN TIMES the burglaries as the US by Population factor.
Canada has nearly ELEVEN TIMES the burglaries as the US by Population
factor.
Compare Property Crime:
Property crime victims (most recent) by countryhttp://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_pro_cri_vic-crime-property-victims
#2 Australia: 13.9%
#4 United Kingdom: 12.2%
#6 Canada: 10.4%
#7 United States: 10%
Australia has nearly NINETEEN TIMES the property crime victims as the US by
Population factor.
The UK has nearly SIX TIMES the property crime victims as the US by
Population factor.
Canada has nearly TEN TIMES the property crime victims as the US by
Population factor.
And unless you think that these three nations, on three different corners of
the world, are vastly more insane than the US you're having to factor in the
ONLY key difference: In the US we're permited to defend ourselves, armed
for the purpose of defending ourselves, and much more often actually DO
defend ourselves and our property - this DIRECTLY translates into crime
reduction by deterrent.
The most amazing part of these statistics is that they are IDENTICAL on the
LOCAL level. In America we see almost an IDENTICAL disparity in crime
between communities where firearms are legally owned versus communities
where firearms are banned or drastically restricted.
The U.S. has triple the murder rate per capita of Canada or England.
That is simple fact.
http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_mur_percap-crime-murders-per-capita

#24 United States: 0.042802 per 1,000 people
#43 Australia: 0.0150324 per 1,000 people
#44 Canada: 0.0149063 per 1,000 people
#46 United Kingdom: 0.0140633 per 1,000 people

Yes, its a statistical fact. So?

Of course I can't PROVE that most assaults in
the U.S. go unreported. They are UNREPORTED!! But, it is self-
evident to anyone who's lived in a number of different countries.

Its 100% made-up bull***.

Your notion that guns prevent crime is delusion.

Its a statistical fact.

Social services and jobs prevent crime. Nothing else.

Are you on drugs? Canada, the UK and Australia, all Socialist Paradises, ALL have MANY TIMES more social services, and MANY TIMES more burglaries, property crimes, rapes, etc.

Guns cause crime. Simple fact.

If it was so simple you'd easily be able to prove it. Yet the best you can do make up some unsupportable bull*** about unreported crime.

Sorry. The U.S. is currently -- thanks to the neocons -- a cessepool.

Statistics PROVE you wrong.
