Who defined the term or coined the
name "Industrial Revolution," and when?
Anyone know?

Thanks for any help.

You cannot do a google search and find out yourself?

Been trying. Found lots of stuff
characterizing and defining the IR,
but, so far, I have found nothing
about who came up with that name
for the century or so of social
and economic changes that seem to
have been induced by the invention
of the steam engine.

If you know something about this,
please tell me know.

Arnold Toynbee.
