That's just nuts!
you put it. Try again, sport.
faith, so why didn't Tim Russert go after everyone else on their beliefs?
Well, the way you presented it, your argument was that if Kucinich is
considered goofy for saying he saw a UFO what about the goofy beliefs
of Christians, and he happens to be a Christian. Now that you have
moved the goal post, I suppose it would be fair to ask the candidates
what the difference is between seeing a UFO and believing in God.
But, since most Americans are Christians, if you had Democrats
comparing UFOs, bigfeet, and Christianity it would hurt them, not help
them.
Besides, lots of people have seen something weird at one point or
another in their lifetime, including myself, so I doubt his UFO
sighting story would hurt him. I believe him; unidentified flying
object. That's not a big deal compared to saying you've seen a
wraith. But if I've seen a wraith, I really have no reason to not
believe in a god. The story (Jesus, et al) itself may sound
ridiculous, but most Americans believe some variation of it, so you
don't want to piss them off by comparing that to UFO stories when
you're trying to get elected. That's my two cents.
Yep, also we got a fucked up war going on, people's medical insurance
premiums going through the roof, basic freedoms being revoked, and Tim
Russert has nothing better to do than ask that stupid question?
If our country was in great shape like when Clinton left office, then
maybe a stupid question like that would be fun. But not now.
Just fucking irritating.
Dude I hear you, but if the dialog was as intellectually robust as is
possible then most Americans wouldn't even know what the candidates
were talking about. Sadly. I think I could vote for Kucinich just
based on the fact that he had the guts to say he saw a UFO. Haha.
