Thomas Jefferson DNA

While we are discussing forthcoming elections many months away let us
discuss how President Thomas Jefferson's legacy is being "railroaded"
by younger historians who are revising history in the name of
political correctness.

A recent Monticello press release stated that Dr. Daniel Jordan,
Monticello President, would be departing Nov. 1, 2008. In my opinion
ten years too late.
The release painted a glowing list of accomplishments, however, there
was no mention of his support of a Monticello Report of Jefferson-
Hemings DNA Study they had accomplished using biased and one sided
research, according to Dr. Wallenborn, the "sweeping under the rug"
and denying the public of a very important Minority Report by a
Monticello employee, Dr. Ken Wallenborn, who, along with two other
long time guides resigned rather than give inaccurate information to
the public visitors. Neither did the release mention that he was aware
of another Hemings male source of Hemings DNA and would not approach
the Hemings family for permission to gain this valuable DNA. Neither
did he mention that his board DROPPED that portion of their name,
MEMORIAL, from their title since 1923. They sued the present Thomas
Jefferson Heritage Society for their then name, Thomas Jefferson
Foundation, the won in a court order and assumed that present name.
Wonder who they are memoralizing NOW?

NEW EVALUATION of the DNA Study indicates the following that every
person who demands the full story and truthfullness in reporting this

DEFECTIVE and AMATEUR RESEARCH: Dr. E. A. Foster, of whom I assisted,
proceeded to draw blood from a KNOWN ancestor, John Weeks Jefferson,
ancestral grandson of Eston
Hemings, whose family prior to 1974, had LONG been told that they
descended from "an uncle Jefferson" (a reference to his brother,
Randolph Jefferson with Jefferson DNA).
WHY would Foster, a retired pathologist, NOT a geneticist who have
professional standards to follow, continue knowing that a match WOULD
occur, even before it would be compared with the Jefferson DNA of
Field Jefferson descendants. He failed to tell Nature Journal, the
testing geneticists, or the media of this "almost certainty" of a
match. The Eston Hemings famuily (now a name change to Jefferson while
passing as white in Wisconsin) genealogy was most firm that they
descended from another Jefferson with that Jefferson family
DNA.......the match could NOT miss. This is false research and
deplorable in my opinion. The originator of the DNA Study was Mrs.
Winifred Bennett who was writing a Jefferson book and wished to use
the DNA results for her book. She was initially financing the study.
She and Foster soon had a "falling out" over release of the results,
he wanting to release the results in a scientific journal and she
needing the information for her book initially. In a taped interview
she told me she had asked him what did he need,.....MONEY,....his
reply NO. She then asked is it FAME...his reply..."YES"!

MONTICELLO'S IMPLICATION: The afore mentioned Dr. Daniel Jordan, took
the misleading and tarnished results, assigned an African-American
ORAL Specialist (a Monticello employee hired to enhance the slavery
involvment at Monticello), as Chairperson of the committee, and a
biased and one sided report was released (minus the Minority Report).

report emphasised that in all probability Thomas Jefferson not only
fathered Eston Hemings but possibly ALL of Sally's children. Note the
impossibly of scientific determination here......ONLY ONE Hemings was
tested, SO what is happening here? This in-house Study Committee also
used two main sources for inaccurate evaluation, The Scholars
Commission Report (13 prominent scholars) (www.tjheritage.org) wrote
an excellent study condeming some of the Monticello Report and found
NO proof that Thomas Jefferson fathered any slave child. .

YOUR COUNTRY'S HISTORY IS A STAKE: You, Mr and Mrs America and freedom
loving people all over the world must stand up for truth and accurate
evaluation and reporting. Let your thoughts be known in the media and
at Monticello. Your children's text books are being tarnished by this
false evaluation.
