Hmmm. Guess I need to pay attention to the signs.

IF you stick to the speed limit, the 18-wheelers will start pushing you.

If a professional driver violates a traffic law, it should cost the
permanent revocation of his commercial license, and if a transport
company has this happen more than once, it should be the end of their
business, forfeiture of all assets and all pensions for executives.
Likewise, anyone who sells fuel, or leases or sells tractors or trailers
to such an entity should face large fines and prison.

That's where I stand on the acceptability of truckers exceeding the
posted speed limit. If they were pissed off enough, they'd lobby for
increased speed limits, which I would support -- until those were
exceeded. There is a threshold of speeding for which I would support
life imprisonment or a death penalty. I already would support a death
penalty for drunk driving, first offense = last offense.

Drunk driving is sometimes the result of a mental condition known as
alcoholism. Those who are mentally disturbed need treatment, not
death. So, you lose. Your perspective is far too harsh to be made a
reality in the legal system.
Or was your post a joke?
