more than a couple thousand years.
homosexuality can, indeed, moron, be traced back to the beginning
of the human race through mitochondrial DNA...

Your Boogle groken, is it, luser, or are the arcane mysteries of
the search engine a tad beyond the reach of your laughably limited
cognitive skill set?
I clicked on the first five of your so-called sources. #1 was about
fruit flies.
Genes are genes, foam duck. DNA is DNA, foam duck. Why, did your
stupid ass think different critters have different DNA? Um, no...
Divergence from a genome, any genome, can, indeed, be traced back,
primarily through the use of mitochondrial DNA, all the way to the
beginning of said genome.
Apparently one of the fruit flies flew into your agape mouth and laid
eggs in your 'brain.' DNA and RNA EXPRESSION is CONTROLLED by methyl
and ethyl groups. It's called epigenetics. In other words genes don't
control your destiny, rather they are contolled by things that are
hierarchic to them.
Yes, genes, the small sections of DNA associated with specific genetic
characteristics, can be expressed or not. IOW, while the gene associated
with homosexuality may be present, it is only expressed in a minority of the
human population. Point? It's not like one can do anything after the fact to
turn a gene off. Not yet, anyway. Probably not ever.
So while homosexuality might be biological, it's not the genes that
control its expression. It may even be a metabolic imbalance, in which
case has the potential of being reversible. There are diet programs
that claim to be able to fix the sexual desires of homosexuals so that
they become heterosexual.
Actually, yes, it is the genes that control the expression. That's precisely
what a gene does. DNA of the individual does not control the factors - which
may be external in many cases - that may activate a particular gene, which
may be what you were trying to say, but once a gene is activated, it does,
indeed, control how the characteristic(s) associated with the activated gene
are expressed.
As to diets, like d00d, there are diets that claim to stop aging, too.
Doesn't mean it's true, though there is at least one diet that apparently
can slow aging. Near starvation.
The bottom line is we have excellent scientific evidence that there is a
genetic basis for homosexuality. It is also a fact that deviations in the
genome of any species can be tracked back quite a long way back in time
through mitochondrial DNA. Therefore, logic tells us that the genetic
factors of homosexuality can be traced in the genome back through time.
You've taken 100 level biology. Good for you. That puts you WELL above he
average rightard in scientific comprehension. Above the overall average,
actually. Now, had you only gotten to the 400 level or above...

ABSTRACT:
....the authors found that participants scoring in the bottom quartile
on tests of humor, grammar, and logic grossly overestimated their test
performance and ability. Although their test scores put them in the
12th percentile, they estimated themselves to be in the 62nd.
