Bush blows off Katrina victims, helps Lebanese instead

On Monday, August 21, 2006, George Bush said, "Our nation is wasting no time
in helping the people of Lebanon. .. We've been on the ground in Beirut for
weeks, and I've already distributed more than half of our $50 million pledge
of disaster relief to the Lebanese people who have lost their homes in the
current conflict."

George Bush has already spent over $25 million on the Lebanese. What about
his own citizens here in Louisiana and Mississippi? It has been one year
after Hurricane Katrina. Not one home in Louisiana or Mississippi has been
rebuilt with Federal money allocated for rebuilding the Gulf Coast, (Oxfam
August 23, 2006).

NOT ONE KATRINA VICTIM HOME REBUILT !!!

George Bush says the $25 million "will help the Lebanese people rebuild
their homes and return to their towns and communities," but he leaves his
own people without homes in Louisiana and Mississippi.

What is George Bush's excuse? Yesterday, in a trumped up fraud perpetrated
by the Whitehouse to spin George Bush as a caring president, about Katrina
victims Bush said, "It's a time to remember that people suffered and it's a
time to recommit ourselves to helping them. But I also want people to
remember that a one-year anniversary is just that, because it's going to
require a long time to help these people rebuild."

IT HAS BEEN A YEAR !! BUSH CAN HELP THE LEBANESE WITH IN DAYS, BUT HE MAKES
THE EXCUSE IT WILL TAKE MORE TIME TO PROVIDE FOR PEOPLE HERE AT HOME??

If Bush can have $25 million in Lebanon within days, he certainly can help
his own citizens right here in Louisiana and Mississippi. Bush has not. He
is more interested in announcing, "that America will send more aid to
support humanitarian and reconstruction work in Lebanon, for a total of more
than $230 million. These funds will help the Lebanese people restore key
bridges and roads. The funds will help the Lebanese people rehabilitate
schools so the children can start their school year on time this fall,"

Again, after a full year, no homes rebuilt with Federal funds in Louisiana
and Mississippi, but Bush falls all over himself to provide schools for kids
in Lebanon two months from now!

What ever happen to taking care of Americans? Bush is not an American
President. Bush is an irresponsible benefactor giving away American taxpayer
dollars to foreign countries. Mr. Bush is a treasonous traitor to the
American taxpayer and the victims of Hurricane Katrina. George Bush does not
have American's best interest at heart. Bush must be removed from office.
