that is not been proven. that is the official historical account. but
the other theory of events has not been discreditied. there are small
events that do lend to questioning the officail account.

a PBS TV station out of SF did a radiation test in the late 80's of the
area. they found nothing - but that would not be out of the ordinary
had a Mark-II exploded in the bay.

just ask yourself that if it was a nuclear event and the gov. fucked up
and accidently killed 400 folks - would they come out and say so? or
would they creat a credible cover story?

the number of folks who wuold know the existance of the bomb inthe
field woul dhave been kept to the smallest number and most of them
would have been killed. it would not be unreasonable to say maybe only
a handfull of folks would have known about the real events after the
fact - a small enough number to never leak out.

I personally think it is probable that it was a nuc - it is the only
conspiracy theory that seems credible to me - though there is no proof
to uphold the theory.

there is the criptic note by Teller about the Trinity test being anvel
like in shape "like the port chicago event" there is the criptic
"box-13" boxcar that had no inventory on record, eyewitness accounts of
a huge explosion (maybe bigger than what a conventional one would
give?), and most telling the re-tooling of the Liberty ship of a
special hoist that could pick up twice the usual payload item wieght.

Two ships died that day - Quinault Victory and another I forget the
name of. one was litterally vaporized.

Well, it was the only one that was tested by blowing it up.

They did a "tickling the dragon's tail" type of test on the Little Boy
bomb to confirm their calculations however.
