It is the gay advocates that are seeking to undermine the rights of
others to define marriage.

with you have the right to lobby for change. Are you and those that

Gay people are part of the same society that you are! Given a black
robe yourself, you'd be the same type of activist judge your AM radio
station has told you that you hate; you just would rule for the things

It is a very simple comparison:

Imagine that it is 1918 and women do not have the right to vote. A
women tells you,

"I should have the right to vote, I am just as valid a member of
society as a man."

You respond:

"Your validity as a member of society has nothing to do with it. The
clerk must give you a voting registration card, which is illegal at
this time."

The issue is not what is legal, the issue is, are the underpinnings of
that law ethical?

are there any countries you could name where women cannot vote that
aren't shitholes? I mean, since it's been such a disaster where it has
happened, you surely can provide a single exaple of how a socieity that
hasn't taken this dangerous step has fared well. This should be
exceedingly simple to do if it has been a disaster as you claim.

The issue is that the current laws are wrong, and the
reason they are wrong is that it involves an invasion of privacy.


And you cannot show that "it" involves an invasion of privacy because
"it" does not.

Yes I can! The law keeps consenting adults from sharing benifits that
others do as a result of what sexes those people happen to be. If two
people want to commit to each other, what else does society really need
to recognize the union? The only objection you seem to have is that
you don't like it, and that it impedes on how you would like to define
marriage.

The notion that just because it is a man and a woman makes a marriage
special is an aburdity with our current set of laws.

Imagine I were to take my millions of dollars and goto Las Vegas.
Every Friday night I could marry a different stripper and get a divorce
the next Thursday. For the duration of that week, my marriage to
stripper #1 would be just as valid as my marriage to stripper #999.
Our current set of laws views this as completely identical to the
husband and wife that have been married 50 years. The notion that
somehow I can marry one thousand strippers and be OK, but two committed
gay people cannot marry in order to conform to your moral standards is
the absolute height of hypocrisy.
