As I said earlier, China's culture is different.  In China, it is the 
collective will that is free because the ideal unit is that of the 
collective and not the individual.  The Chinese view the individual as a 
part of the body, not as a distinct entity.  For example, the toe is part of 
the whole human body but cannot be considered a separate unit that can exist 
on its own.
