The Institute of Islamic Information &
Education (III&E)
has been offering Da'wah training courses since
early
1997
Opportunity For the Muslims in the West: Since
the 9-11
terror at World Trade Center and the Pentagon
people in
the West have become much more interested in
learning
about Islam than ever before and the Muslims
must avail
this opportunity and harness its benefits. At
many
Islamic centers across North America the
Christians
visited to learn about Islam and Muslims but
they could
not find competent Muslims teaching them. It
has been
observed that some Christians came forward to
help the
Muslims out by teaching Islam to other
non-Muslims in an
Islamic center. This is a pathetic situation
and it must
be removed by training Muslims how to reach
out, present
Islam to the people and be able to answer
questions with
confidence and knowledge from authentic and
credible
sources. We invite all Muslims living in North
America
and Islamic centers to avail the services of
the III&E
and hold training programs at their centers.
Experience of the III&E: This course has been
conducted
in Chicago (5 times); Camp White Eagle (near
Rockford),
Illinois; Berkeley-Rolling Meadows, Illinois;
Villa
Park, Illinois; Garden Grove, California;,
Houston,
Texas; Atlanta, Georgia; and Monmouth Junction,
New
Jersey. This adds up to twelve times. In all
cases
Islamic organizations have sponsored the course
by
providing physical arrangements, local
publicity,
recruitment and financially helping those who
need such
help and are deserving for attending the
course. The
III&E has worked in cooperation with WAMY in
Riyadh,
ICII in Leicester, England, and IET in Minna,
Nigeria.
Age spread of those who have attended: 13 years
to 71
years of age.
Education spread: High school students to Ph.D.
(even in
Shari'ah) and M.D.
Education level preferred: College graduates
and up.
Other requirements: Be a Muslim and have a
commitment to
educate non-Muslims. An applicant must be a
resident of
North America and willing to travel at his/her
own
expense, bearing expenses of boarding and
lodging and
paying the full tuition fee or finding a
sponsor. The
III&E will not help anyone living outside of
North
America for his/her entry visa or expenses.
Length of the course: Nine days from 9:00 A.M.
to 8:00
P.M. daily with breaks. The course will begin
on a
Friday 6:30 P.M. for registration and
introductions and
will continue the next day, Saturday at 9:00
A.M.,
through following eight days closing on the
second
Sunday evening.
Contents of the course: Fundamentals of Islam,
Techniques of Handling People, Presenting
Islamic
Beliefs and Practices, Misconceptions about
Islam held
by the Muslims, Misconceptions about Islam held
by the
non-Muslims, Comparative Religion -
Christianity, and
Establishing and running a not-for-profit
organization.

A close examination of this web site has revealed a very heavy emphasis
on Saudi Dawa (teachings) and even the advocating of JIHAD AS WAR -

Many are aware of widespread Saudi investments in the

States, but few know how potentially harmful they

Moreover, U.S. policy-makers remain unaware of this

States,
Osama bin Laden called for financial jihad against

States, and on Dec. 27, 2001, he called on jihadists
"to look

economy."
Although now the Saudis claim bin Laden is their

of them continue to follow his agenda.
Religious and ideological support has been also
provided by
Hussein Shihata, a leading Sunni scholar of Islamic
Economy at
Cairo's al-Azhar University. Mr. Shihata's July 10,

fatwa says: "We do not use the term 'economic jihad'
as a mere
motto or a resounding slogan with no action. Rather,
we mean
by it a practical jihad that requires action to turn
it into
an effective and concrete reality. The aim behind
that is to
benefit all Muslims and to challenge the aggression
staged by
the U.S. and Jews against Islam and Muslims."

Mainstream US Muslim organizations are heavily
influenced by
Saudi-funded extremists, according to Yehudit Barsky,
an
expert on terrorism at the American Jewish Committee.
Worse still, Barsky told The Jerusalem Post last
week, these
"extremist organizations continue to claim the mantle
of
leadership" over American Islam.
The power of the extremist Wahhabi form of Islam in
the United
States was created with generous Saudi financing of
American
Muslim communities over the past few decades. Over 80
percent
of the mosques in the United States "have been
radicalized by
Saudi money and influence," Barsky said.
Before the 1970s, she explained, "Muslim immigrants
who came
to the United States would build a store-front mosque
somewhere. Then, since the 1970s, the Saudis have
been
approaching these mosques and telling them it wasn't
proper
for the glory of Islam to build such small mosques."
For many Muslims, it seemed the Saudis were offering
a free
mosque. However, Barsky believes for each mosque they
invested
in, the Saudis sent along their own imam
(teacher-cleric).
"These [immigrants] were not interested in this
[Wahhabi]
ideology, and suddenly they have a Saudi imam coming
in and
telling them they're not praying properly and not
practicing
Shari'a [Islamic law] properly." This Saudi strategy
was being
carried out "all over the world, from America to
Bangladesh,"
with the Saudis investing $70-80 billion in the
endeavor over
three decades.
Daniel Pipes demonstrates how insidious and dangerous this Saudi threat
really is in the New York Sun:
The Saudis are at it again, and this time America's school
children are the victims. It's no secret that the
princes in
Riyadh fund anti-American, anti-Israel, and
anti-Semitic
propaganda in mosques and madrassas across the globe.
But now
a yearlong investigation by the Jewish Telegraphic
Agency
exposes that the oil kingdom's virulent tentacles
also stretch
into America's public school system.
The JTA says textbooks used in public schools across
the
country "are highly critical of democratic
institutions and
forgiving of repressive ones." The books also "praise
and
sometimes promote Islam, but criticize Judaism and
Christianity and are filled with false assertions."
One such book is the "Arab World Studies Notebook."
The JTA
reports that it suggests that Jews have "undue
influence on
U.S. foreign policy" and that its country section
omits any
information on Israel and only refers to "Palestine."
The book
writes that the Koran "synthesizes and perfects
earlier
revelations," namely Jewish and Christian. According
to the
JTA the two organizations behind the book - the Arab
World and
Islamic Resources and the Middle East Policy Council
- receive
funding from Saudi Arabia: AWAIR from the state-owned
Saudi
Aramco oil company and MPEC directly from Riyadh.
According to
MPEC's Web site it has "conducted Workshops in 175
different
cities in 43 states," which "more than 16,000
educators have
attended."
The only somewhat perplexing part of The Institute of Islamic
Information & Education (III&E) is the begging and emphasis on funding
- but perhaps the Saudi Priorities passed them by?

Perhaps they are masters of Taqiyya and Kitman? An example
of "Taqiyya" would be the insistence of a Muslim apologist that "of
course"
there is freedom of conscience in Islam, and then quoting that
Qur'anic verse
-- "There shall be no compulsion in religion." Kitman" is close to
"taqiyya," but rather than outright dissimulation, it consists in
telling only a part of the truth Taqiyya, religious deception, as
founded on Qur'an 16:106. (A similar but distinct concept is kitman,
which is
akin to mental reservation, and is based on Qur'an 3:28.

sheep.
