:Mark Latham made Lateline look a bit foolish tonight. He made big Tony
break out in a sweat, and that's the first time I have ever seen that
on Lateline.
Latham has not only had a go at 'the Labor Machine Men' but also the
media, and they most definitely aren't liking it.

One of the treats to come out of the Book, is the way the media falsely
represented Mark Latham's very responsible and tough Mayorship of
Liverpool Council.
The media smeared Mark with the Paciullo/Oasis Financial Disaster,
which was none of Mark's doing. He produced results in the form of firm
accounts that were in the black; and did a lot for the kids of the
area.
Is this the thanks you get for doing a responsible job?

The Nurses who approached Craig Knowles, the NSW Health Minister, were
bullied by Knowles, no matter what ICAC says.
However that is nothing, compared to the smear the Nurses received from
the Sydney Morning Herald, on the front page when it was strongly
inferred that the Nurses had been lying over the claims of criminal
medical mispractice resulting in deaths at their Hospitals. That was on
the Front Page. On the P.7 there was a par which stated that 'other
agencies' had brought criminal proceedings and a number of doctors and
nurses faced deregistration.
No-one faces de-registration without there being firm evidence!

This case of 'the smear' being used against the nurses, is a classic
example of how the media can stuff you; but only if you let them..as
Mark is showing.
