WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Speaker of the House of Representatives John
Boehner pushed for immediate spending cuts at Monday's debt-reduction
meeting with President Barack Obama and fellow congressional leaders,
a Republican aide said.
I am more bemused by such gesture to "negotiate" than anything else by
a guy who thought he were king, who can hold America hostage over
little things. If a person doesn't have the brain to comprehend the
consequences of his own inaction, maybe he shouldn't be put there in
the first place. A bigger gravel is more a sign of vanity than
anything else. He thought he would; he thought he could. That's a
lot of naivete and self conceit. That's not what leadership is all
about. It is about making a tough decision and setting a good
example, about where that person would want to take this nation to the
future, with a vision. The Republican party is like a disgruntled
spouse who took out a $3.7 trillion equity loan out of a house and
didn't **think** or feel like we would need to put the money back.
And now they want to default on the house? Well, what an eye
opener.
Boehner may as well ruin all the chances of any Republican candidates
who may want to run for higher office. There is no free lunch. The
price of freedom isn't free. When Patrick Henry proclaimed, "Give me
Liberty or give me Death!" he was willing to spill his blood and
sacrifice whatever he had, his neck included, for the good of this
nation. Those who have little, give it all. Those who have much, are
expected more. He who thinks that he can weasel out, has no
character. The era of freeloading is over. Now is the time to put
the wheel to the shoulder. We can either put the shoulder to the
wheel, or the wheel will come to the shoulder. God is always
watching. May God bless United States of America.
Patrick Henry is not such a free-loader. Those who give much are
given more.
