Linux is too hard!

No, just a little different. My 18 year old son is now using it and he
notice it boots faster and is more stable. It is also more resistant to
viruses and malware. He installed a script (XPGnome) that makes it look
exactly like XP Pro.

I don't need to upgrade DVD burner software anymore or MS Office. I can
download most to the software I need with Synaptic package Manager for
free. You can even install Wine that can load many Windows aps and
games.

You can buy Linux Pro Magazine and even get a free Linux DVD to load
the OS.

I started with Redhat 7.2 years ago. I'm right beside you. I still use
an older version of Pan because it's backward compatible. I remove the
latest version because I like the older version.

Yes, I use the Pan newsreader, too. It is easier to use than the
newsreader function in the Evolution email client.
