Could be. But unlike Bush's criminal invasion of Iraq, Putin's move
into Georgia is none of our business. Neither Georgia nor Russia are
material to the welfare of the United States. The United States has
no dog in the fight. And it is essential to the welfare of the United
States that the U.S. government stay out of it.
But from a moral point of view, the U.S. can hardly oppose the
aspirations of the Ossetians to be free of the oppression of the
Georgians--not after the U.S. sent massive military force against the
Serbs to assist the dope-dealing Kosovo Albanians in their glorious
struggle for independence, and invaded Iraq to create an independent
Kurdistan.
See? The United States has set the standard. The noble Russians have
taken their cue from the noble Americans and are assisting the
Ossetians to be free at last, free at last, great God Almighty, free
at last, exactly like the Americans did for Kosovo and Kurdistan.
Certainly, all people are entitled to be free. Isn't that the Bush
slogan? And we can expect the Russians and all other freedom loving
nations to lend a hand to the liberation of the nation of Mexicosovo
(now erroneously called the southwest United States) when the time
comes.
