Thought into action (to do anything) one must hold a focus to
penetrate through the barriers, the obstacles, the diversions, to
complete most any objective. Some classify the first Week of Truth
campaign (to place Steve Alten’s The Shell Game on top of the NY Times
bestseller list) a failure. But that would not be taking into account
the success of working in a coalition to achieve such a turnaround
objective in an area concerning false flag terrorism and war

"According to Wikipedia, Able Danger was "a classified military
intelligence program under the command of the U.S. Special Operations
Command (SOCOM). It was created as a result of a directive from the
Joint Chiefs of Staff in early October 1999 by the chairman of the
Joint Chiefs of Staff, Hugh Shelton, to develop an Information
Operations Campaign Plan against transnational terrorism,
'specifically al-Qaeda.'" The story, as alleged by various journalists
as well as Congressman Curt Weldon, former Vice Chairman of the Armed
Services committee, is that Able Danger members identified the Mohamed
Atta terrorist cell prior to 9/11 but were prevented from passing
their information on to the FBI. Subsequently, Weldon claimed that 2.5
terabytes of data collected by the Able Danger group was ordered
destroyed two years before the 9/11 attack. The 9/11 commission either
did not consider or dismissed these allegations, and 9/11 theorists
have gone on to claim that Able Danger was actually a program designed
to monitor and control Atta and other "patsies" who were the fall guys
for the 9/11 attacks.

Able Danger the movie takes the real-life mystery of the intelligence
operation and uses it as the basis for a spirited and blackly comic
neo-noir set all over Manhattan and Brooklyn. Thomas Flynn is a 9/11
theorist, author of a conspiracy expose, and manager of a coffee shop
named Vox Pop. When an Eastern European femme fatale, Kasia, played by
Elina Lowensohn, enters the picture, Flynn is rapidly learns just how
much he is on to when he is plunged into a netherworld of shadow ops,
New American Century puppeteers, and smartly-accented henchmen.
Reworking classic spy movie tropes for the post-9/11 age, Krik uses
flashes of dark comedy, an affection for the film noir genre and the
perfect eyebrow-half-cocked attitude towards his subject matter to
create a fast-paced and entertaining story. He's aided quite a bit by
Aaron Nee, one of Filmmaker's "25 New Faces" of 2006, who stars here
as Flynn and gives an appealing performance as the Williamsburg
underground reporter who, like a character in a '60s John
Frankenheimer film, knows a bit more than he should. With its black-
and-white cinematography and visual imagination (the film mixes in
color dream sequences and text-overwritten surveillance footage), the
film is bit reminiscent of Darren Aronofsky's debut, Pi, as well as
Hal Hartley's recent Fay Grim, but Krik's low-fi riff on the
conspiracy thriller has a charm all its own. "In case you didn't
know," Krik writes, Able Danger is based on a 'true story'... Vox Pop
really exists, the author and the book featured in the movie really
exists, Able Danger program really existed, all the 'conspiracies'
mentioned in the movie are true..."

I asked Krik how he got his movie made, and he emailed, "I self
financed the film. It seemed impossible to garner financing for a 9/11
conspiracy movie in black and white. This is the investor's paradigm
movie NOT to invest in. That being said, I'm broke. I'm looking to
sell the film and get back to working commercials -- but that's why
people want to see it, because they won't see it anywhere else."

9/11 Victim Family Members Raise Questions Media Still Fail to Ask

Hundreds of victim family members have been demanding answers to
questions about the deaths of loved ones ever since the horrific
events of September 11, 2001 - to no avail. Dozens of witnesses who
offered to testify to the 9/11 Commission were ignored; many others
found their testimony omitted. According to a group of Keene State
College students, without a clear accounting of the facts, no reform
can be effective in protecting national security. The students have
organized a one-day symposium, on Saturday, May 17 -- "This symposium
has been put together by undergraduate student scholars -- a group of
young people committed to the pursuit of truth in a country that so
often substitutes the comfortable life and easy paths over the rocky
roads of ethical personhood," states Donna Marsh O'Connor, mother of
Vanessa Lang Langer, who died escaping the South Tower.

Keene, NH May 12, 2008 -- New Hampshire College students and local
activists have organized a one-day symposium, entitled, "Family
Members, Researchers and Whistleblowers Speak Out", to be held at
Keene High School on Saturday, May 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. "This
symposium has been put together by undergraduate student scholars -- a
group of young people committed to the pursuit of truth in a country
that so often substitutes the comfortable life and easy paths over the
rocky roads of ethical personhood," says O'Connor, who along with Bob
McIlvaine, who lost his son Bobby, and Michele Little, who lost her
firefighter brother David, will be making presentations at the
symposium.

"This government has made me the victim of conspiracy theories,
because they haven't answered fully or allowed anyone to ask the true
questions of September 11th," stated Donna Marsh O'Connor, mother of
Vanessa Lang Langer, who died escaping the South Tower on Sept. 11,
2001, speaking at the National Press Club on Sept. 11. 2006

O'Connor and hundreds of victim family members have been demanding
answers to questions about the deaths of loved ones ever since the
horrific events of September 11, 2001 - to no avail. Dozens of

testimony omitted. In their book, "Without Precedent", Commission co-
chairs Kean and Hamilton wrote, "Fog of war could explain why some
people were confused on the day of 9/11, but it could not explain why
all the after-action reports, accident investigation, and public
testimony by FAA and NORAD officials advanced an account of 9/11 that
was untrue."

According to the students, without a clear accounting of the facts, no
reform can be effective in protecting national security. As Peter
Jennings said on 9/11/01, "The terrorist wins when he or she manages
to alter the behavior of a people or infringes on the way of life in a
country--that a democratic country particularly--alters its way of
life. It raises the whole question of civil liberties and access and
freedom of movement."

Presentations will also be made by several investigative journalists
and filmmakers, including:

Daniel Hopsicker, investigative journalist, author and documentary
filmmaker, whose seminal work, "Welcome to Terrorland: Mohamed Atta
and the 9/11 Cover Up in Florida," revolves around activities of the
alleged hijackers and their connection to Huffman Aviation in Florida.

Sander Hicks, Brooklyn-based author and investigative journalist, who
has extensively researched the Pakistani connection to 9/11 and
published "The Big Wedding,"detailing the whistle-blowers and
conflicts of interest within the 9/11 Commission.

Barrie Zwicker, award-winning Canadian journalist, documentary
producer and political activist, will examine what he calls the "media
blackout" of alternative 9/11 views. He has written, "Towers of
Deception" and produced three documentary films about September 11.

Korey Rowe, documentary filmmaker and activist, will discuss his
internet blockbuster film, "Loose Change," which continues to draw
worldwide attention to the anomalies and questions surrounding 9/11.

Michael Springmann, former head of consular services at the US
Consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 1987-1989, will explain how he
was forced by his superiors and the CIA to issue visas for individuals
traveling to the US who he suspected may have had terrorist
connections. Springmann reveals that these individuals were being
trained in the US and sent back to Afghanistan to fight the Russians.
Eleven of the nineteen alleged 9/11 hijackers obtained visas from this
same consulate in Saudi Arabia. For Springmann, this begs the
question: "Just how involved was the CIA in the creation of what
became 'Al-Qaeda'; and who might have had foreknowledge of the 9/11
attacks; and what, if any attempts were made to warn the American
public?"

collapses of the Twin Towers and WTC Building 7 were not adequately
explained by the official theories outlined in the 2002 FEMA and 2005

What the Evidence Shows

Sounds of explosions coming from each of the WTC Twin Towers were
heard well before the collapses began. These were reported by over 118
first responders in the FDNY recorded “oral histories” (the release of
which was resisted by the City of NY until forced by a New York Times
FOIA filing). Numerous accounts of “flashes of light” which commonly
accompany the detonation of demolition charges were also reported.
Video footage reveals the striking symmetry, explosiveness and
rapidity of the Towers’ destruction. This destruction differed from
the more classic controlled demolition of WTC 7 in its extreme
explosiveness.

Each rubble site contained tons of molten metal “flowing like lava” in
the basements – as observed by Leslie Robertson, WTC structural
engineer, and numerous other first responders. The temperatures of
these flows were far in excess of anything possible from a jet fuel
fire or from the burning contents of the buildings. Scientists have
determined conclusively that thermate – a high-tech incendiary - was
used. Chemical traces of thermate were found in the steel and dust.
Each “collapse” exhibited thick billowing pyroclastic dust clouds that
rapidly expanded to over ten times the volume of the buildings. Each
also showed squibs (explosive ejections of pulverized building
materials) easily observed in many of the videos. The twin towers were
explained to have “pancaked” down, however there was no stack of
floors found at the bottom – nearly everything was blown outside the
footprint of the towers in a symmetrical pattern extending 1,200 feet
in diameter around each building – and 90,000 tons of concrete, metal
decking and floor trusses were completely missing from the debris
field.

Most damaging to the official story, WTC building 7 was a 47-story
high-rise not hit by an airplane and yet became the 3rd modern steel-
framed skyscraper to collapse symmetrically at near free-fall speed on
9/11 – in the exact manner of a controlled demolition with explosives.
It collapsed into a neat, compact pile, exhibiting ALL the classic
features of controlled demolition:

Rapid onset of “collapse”
Sounds of explosions at ground floor - a full second prior to collapse
Symmetrical “collapse” – through the path of greatest resistance – at
near free-fall speed (i.e. the [core] columns offered no resistance)
“Collapses” into its own footprint – with the steel skeleton broken up
for shipment
Massive volume of expanding pyroclastic dust clouds
Tons of molten metal found in basement by demolition workers
Chemical signature of thermate (a high-tech incendiary) found in slag
and dust samples
Rapid oxidation and intergranular melting found (by FEMA) in the
structural steel samples
Expert corroboration from controlled demolition professionals
Foreknowledge of “collapse” by First Responders, media, NYPD, FDNY,
etc.

Bill is so interested in me, I have challenged him to a formal debate
on 9/11 and any other issues he chooses. I have proposed that the
debate be held on the Boston Harbor quay, and that whoever the panel
of judges decides is the winner shall have the right to push the loser
into the harbor. This could be the first event ever broadcast live
simultaneously by both Fox and C-Span ; ) Come on, O'Reilly - let me
prove once and for all that you're all wet!

While I'm still waiting to hear whether Bill "throw the 'conspiracy
theorist' into the harbor" O'Reilly accepts my debate challenge, I
didn't have to wait for my congressional election opponent, Rep. Ron
Kind, who has agreed to debate me at an unspecified future date (see
press release below). Kudos to Ron Kind for being the first federal
office-holder with the guts to debate a 9/11 skeptic.

Speaking of national media, don't forget to tune in tonight at 8 pm
Central for Richard Greene's show Clout. Tonight's debate topic is the
questions surrounding the attack on the Pentagon. It will feature Rob
Balsamo of Pilots for 9/11 Truth, Craig Ranke of CIT, and others.

Bad news: Chomsky has backed out of our scheduled interview. He now
falsely claims that I had promised in an email to completely avoid the
subject of 9/11, when in fact the email record clearly demonstrates
that the opposite was the case. He also endlessly repeats the mantra
that proving World Trade Center Building 7 was taken down in
controlled demolition would be unimportant, because that would just
prove that it was Bin Laden who demolished it. These and similar
statements led me (and many others) to believe the many Chomsky quotes
seemingly saying that "it doesn't matter" whether 9/11 was an inside
job were genuine. He insists they were taken out of context, and waxes
indignant about my having accepted them at face value. For the record,
I immediately accepted his claim that the quotes were misleading, and
apologized for crediting them - but he refused to acknowledge three
consecutive apologies, and continued berating me for ever believing
that he could be so crazy as to think it "didn't matter" whether 9/11
was an inside job. (Meanwhile, he never tires of repeating that if
WTC-7 was demolished, it must have been done by Bin Laden.) Frankly, I
wish someone would explain to me the deep structure of Chomsky's
statements, because the surface structure makes no sense whatsoever. I
will publish the entire email record of our correspondence - a
hilarious dialogue-of-the-deaf even though only one side was deaf - as
soon as he gives me permission to do so.

The groundswell of broad support for Barack Obama (both among Blacks
and whites) is a phenomenon that deserves a serious analysis and
understanding. It cannot be downplayed by passing it through the lens
of pure-and-simple lesser-evilism.

Some radicals dismiss the mass phenomenon, because Obama is a
candidate of a ruling-class party. That simplistic rejection of
Obama's campaign and its mass support is sectarian: The issue isn't
whether to vote for a Democrat, but rather our response to a
development that is having a wide-scale impact. How many times, in
state after state, have we ever seen citizens of all races line up for
hours to hear an African-American man talk about “hope'', on a
platform that is fundamentally no different than his opponents?

While I do sympathise with those activists choosing the Green Party
campaign of Cynthia McKinney or the “independent” Ralph Nader for
their more progressive political program, I believe progressives and
socialists should focus our attentions on critically engaging Obama
supporters, identifying with their desire for a “new type of politics
and direction for the country” ­ while explaining that Obama is no
answer to stop the aggressive wars of US. imperialism.

In that spirit of critical engagement, an objective evaluation of
Obama's support, and why it's grown, is instructive.

Mass appeal beyond electoralism
The mass sentiment for the Obama campaign represents more than pure
electoralism. It indicates a possible shift in political
consciousness, which can either lead to broad-scale disillusionment or
begin to awaken the new young generation to engage in more radical
politics when the first African-American president acts like all his
predecessors in defending the imperial state.

The Obama phenomenon is a result of fears and frustrations, and of
hopes that the country can be better. Most Blacks, of course, are
excited by an unprecedented possibility of a “Black president''.
Others, including many white workers, are fed up with standing still
or going backward as the country enters a recession. Obama taps these
multiple anxieties. His mass rallies show the desire for change.

Last week, the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit moved into southern
Helmand province, the world's largest opium poppy-growing region
[thanks to Bush], and now find themselves surrounded by green fields
of the illegal plants that produce the main ingredient of heroin. The
Marines are not destroying the plants. In fact, they are reassuring
villagers the poppies won't be touched. American commanders say the
Marines would only alienate people and drive them to take up arms if
they eliminated the impoverished Afghans' only source of income.

The United Nations has announced that opium poppy cultivation in
Afghanistan has soared and is expected to increase by 59% in 2006...
The Western media in chorus blame the Taliban and the warlords. The
Bush administration is said to be committed to curbing the Afghan drug
trade... Yet in a bitter irony, US military presence has served to
restore rather than eradicate the drug trade. What the reports fail to
acknowledge is that the Taliban government was instrumental in
implementing a successful drug eradication program, with the support
and collaboration of the UN. Implemented in 2000-2001, the Taliban's
drug eradication program led to a 94 percent decline in opium
cultivation. In 2001, according to UN figures, opium production had
fallen to 185 tons. Immediately following the October 2001 US led
invasion, production increased dramatically, regaining its historical
levels.

The concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has reached a
record high, according to new figures that renew fears that climate
change could begin to slide out of control.0512 05 1

Scientists at the Mauna Loa observatory in Hawaii say that CO2 levels
in the atmosphere now stand at 387 parts per million (ppm), up almost
40% since the industrial revolution and the highest for at least the
last 650,000 years.

The figures, published by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA) on its website, also confirm that carbon
dioxide, the chief greenhouse gas, is accumulating in the atmosphere
faster than expected. The annual mean growth rate for 2007 was 2.14ppm
- the fourth year in the past six to see an annual rise greater than
2ppm. From 1970 to 2000, the concentration rose by about 1.5ppm each
year, but since 2000 the annual rise has leapt to an average 2.1ppm.

Scientists say the shift could indicate that the Earth is losing its
natural ability to soak up billions of tons of carbon each year.
Climate models assume that about half our future emissions will be re-
absorbed by forests and oceans, but the new figures confirm this may
be too optimistic. If more of our carbon pollution stays in the
atmosphere, it means emissions will have to be cut by more than
currently projected to prevent dangerous levels of global warming.

Martin Parry, co-chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate
Change’s working group on impacts, said: “Despite all the talk, the
situation is getting worse. Levels of greenhouse gases continue to
rise in the atmosphere and the rate of that rise is accelerating. We
are already seeing the impacts of climate change and the scale of
those impacts will also accelerate, until we decide to do something
about it.”

The U.S. government has decided to list polar bears as a threatened
species under its Endangered Species Act because of the effects of
global warming — a decision lauded by wildlife groups, but that could
deal a severe blow to the lucrative sport hunt in Canada's North.

U.S. Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne, who made the
announcement in Washington on Wednesday, said the decision was based
on findings that polar bears' sea ice habitat, vital to their
survival, has dramatically melted in recent decades.

He said computer models projected declines in sea ice averaging 30 per
cent by the middle of the century. Scientists predict that as a
result, two-thirds of polar bears could disappear by then.

“Because polar bears are vulnerable to this loss of habitat, they are,
in my judgment, likely to become endangered in the foreseeable future.
In this case, [in] 45 years," Kempthorne said.

A threatened species is considered likely to become in danger of
extinction in the foreseeable future.

public opposition.

We need to stop this nuclear nonsense, and your voices need to be
heard.

Even our friends in the Senate, like Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), say
they are not receiving enough phone calls on this issue. They, and we,
are urging you to call your senators now and demand that they oppose
any nuclear provisions or amendments to the Lieberman-Warner bill.

Your calls are especially important because the nuclear industry is
actively lobbying to obtain more taxpayer dollars, and they have far
more resources to do so than the environmental movement.

And activate e-mail lists, phone trees, myspace and facebook sites,
and any other networks you have. We need to get as many of your voices
to the Senate as possible.

Some background information on the Lieberman-Warner bill, and some of
the nuclear provisions now being talked about, is below.

and we know that many of you have been contributing to your candidates
this year. But issue campaigns, like this one, require resources too.

Background information on Lieberman-Warner Bill (S. 2191)

According to an aide to Senator Joe Lieberman (I-CT), the Lieberman-
Warner climate change bill scheduled to be debated on the Senate floor
during the first week of June “would be the most historic incentive
for nuclear in the history of the United States."

The cap-and-trade carbon emissions system that the bill would
establish would both make utility investments in carbon-emitting
technologies like coal and gas less economically competitive by
putting a price on carbon, and would also create a fund­totaling as
much as $500 Billion over the next four decades­that could be used for
nuclear power investment.

There are many problems with the proposed legislation, not the least
of which is that its emissions reductions targets fall far short of
what science now says is necessary to avoid a climate catastrophe. In
fact, the global carbon emissions reduction of 80% by 2050 called for
by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Global Climate Change
translates into a 95% reduction in U.S. emissions­or essentially a
carbon-free energy economy. But at best, the Lieberman-Warner bill
would reduce emissions about 60-70% by 2050, and perhaps not even that
much.

Nuclear amendments that have been discussed on Capitol Hill may
include some, or even all, of the following:

* More money for taxpayer loan guarantees for new reactors
* More money for “risk” insurance if reactors are delayed because of
interventions or other licensing problems
* Establishment of “interim” storage sites for high-level radioactive
waste
* Speed-up of Yucca Mountain licensing
* Further restrictions on public participation in reactor licensing
* Money for training nuclear engineers
* Money for training skilled workers (like welders)
* Money for security guards and improvements
* Money for Hardened On-Site Storage
* Money to build new factories to manufacture large reactor components
* Money for new transmission lines
* Money for transformers

We need safe, clean, fast and affordable solutions to the climate
crisis. Nuclear power meets none of those criteria. Your actions now
can make a real difference!

Please call your Senators today: 202-224-3121, and alert your
colleagues, co-workers, church groups, PTAs, and all of your friends
and ask them to call too! And please call both of your senators no
matter where you think they may stand on the issue: we need to create
a better sense in the Senate that people care about this issue.

Thank you for all you do. Together, we can stop the nuclear industry’s
misguided notion that climate change legislation is their opportunity
to have an atomic Christmas in June!
