TO SOCIALISM
BELONG THE COMMUNISTS AND NAZIS
By: Roderick T. Beaman
I belong to the Jewish Community Alliance of Jacksonville, Florida. I
work out there in the weight room and pool about five times a week.
It's a very nice facility and open to all, irrespective of faith or
ethnicity. It has a very well regarded preschool program that
Christian and even some Muslims children attend. At different times,
you will see busloads of black children arriving or leaving for
various programs. In this, it is not unlike the YMCAs across the
country and is as it should be.
In the lobby, is a display with a sacred Torah with a plaque that
explains that it was rescued from 'the Nazis'. That bothers me. It
doesn't bother me because it commemorates one of the worst human
atrocities in history, it bothers me, because, just like everywhere
else, the offenders are identified as 'the Nazis'.
'Nazi' is a contraction of 'nationalsozialistische' or national
socialist in German. It was originally meant as a derisive
contraction but today it serves another purpose; to avoid confronting
what the ideology actually was and to sanitize the word
'socialism'. The entire term for the party is 'The National
Socialist German Worker's Party (NSDAP)'.
I've always found it interesting that the Jews are the second most
reliable Democratic voting bloc in the country, the first being the
blacks. In the 2006 midterm elections, about 80% of America's Jews
voted Democratic.
I've never been able to figure out why. The Jews as an organized
religion go back 3,500 years yet they vote for America's major
socialist party.
The ideology that governed the Soviet Union was soviet socialism or
international revolutionary socialism. Although persecution of Jews
was not as extensive under communism, it did occur. Josip Stalin had
a program to end Judaism in the country. Many of the original
Bolsheviks were Jews who endorsed the extirpation of Judaism in a
program called the yevsektsiya. It was so successful that by 1950
there were only a few synagogues in the entire country and those were
under constant surveillance.
These facts have always confused me because it seems to be inescapable
that socialism would have to become anti-Semitic. The process is
undeniably logical. If socialism wishes to replace the Old World
Order with a New World Order, it must destroy the Old World Order and
the oldest order in Western Civilization is Judaism. Q.E.D.
But there has been a general effort to sanitize the word socialism.
Perhaps it is due to a hope that if people do not see the entire true
name of the communists or Nazis, they will not view socialism with the
same jaundiced eyes. The question for everyone to address is when was
the last time you saw the terms national socialism, soviet socialism
or international revolutionary socialism? The likelihood is that you
have almost never seen them.
Every story I've ever read about Germany under Adolf Hitler has always
referred to 'the Nazis'. The country is always called Nazi Germany. I
can't recall a single instance of the ideology being called national
socialism or the country called National Socialist Germany.
Personally, I always call them that for that very reason.
Every account of Bolshevism has always called the ideology communism
and very rarely soviet socialism. (I do see it, though, far more
frequently than national socialism for Naziism.) In fact, as far as I
can recall, the only people who have ever called communists
socialists, were communist leaders themselves! Obviously they regard
themselves as socialists but the rest of the world doesn't think of
them that way. That is dangerous.
It should also be noted that Hitler's rise to power after the 1932
elections was facilitated by Stalin who ordered the German communist
party to oppose the actual socialists, the SPD during the post-
election maneuvers when no party had won a majority. Stalin was an
admirer of Hitler's political ability. His admiration became even
deeper after The Night of the Long Knives in 1934 when Hitler purged
and had executed many other in the Nazi paramilitary hierarchy. This
may have given inspiration to Stalin's show trials just several years
later.
Early on in this current presidential campaign, I was talking with
some people at work about it. One medical assistant extern took
exception to my referring to Hillary as a socialist. I'm not sure why
because that is what Hillary is and, for that matter, the entire
Democratic Party is socialist. Do they shrink from the term because
of its prior manifestations?
When Hitler joined the NSDAP, he had wanted to rename it The Social
Revolutionary Party. Just like the socialists and communists, all of
the Party's electioneering was geared to 'the workers'. Their posters
look just like those of the socialists and communists of the day, both
in Germany and here in the United States. According to Wikipedia,
Hitler had little interest in the socialist aspect of national
socilism but saw in the party the opportunity for the power that he
lusted. (At the Wikipedia website, you will find an election poster
for the NSDAP.)
The NSDAP platform can be read at www.yale.edu/lawweb/avalon/imt/document/nsdappro.htm.
Just a casual review of it should impress the reader that the stated
pathway to its goals is not much different from those espoused by the
Democratic Party today and especially the two remaining candidates for
the presidential nomination. There can be no doubt that national
socialism, in between its imperial designs, wanted a full out assault
on capital and ruthless suppression and subordination of all to those
goals of through the State.
Nothing could better illustrate this than the following; "Common good
before individual good " is an actual direct quote from the
statement. If you change that just slightly, it becomes 'the greatest
good for the greatest number', and that itself has been said numerous
times by America's Democrats. You can almost hear Hillary or Barack
saying something like it.
Under that motto, which has been promulgated since the advent of
socialism, more evil has been done than the entirety of the rest of
history. Whether it comes under in the guise of socialism itself,
national socialism, fascism, progressivism or communism, it is
fundamentally socialism. It means the subjugation of the desires of
individual people to that of the state and that is the evil.
The world must never be allowed to forget this, despite the ongoing
efforts of some to erase or ignore the legacy of socialism. The evil
of the Nazis and communists was just the ultimate manifestation of
socialism. The world must never be allowed to escape or ignore this
reality. Socialism reverses the paradigm of Thomas Jefferson as
cited in The Declaration of Independence that governments are
instituted among men to secure certain rights and the various
socialisms place governments' desires as supreme. The philosophies
are mutually exclusive.
The source of its evil is that it ignores personal rights and that is
the very antithesis of what our republic is all about. John McCain,
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton aren't wrong because they are
Democrats or Republicans. They are wrong because they function as
good Republicans and Democrats and both of these parties have
forgotten what this country is all about.
