Republicans have been whittling away at the reforms of FDR for years.
The big one is Social Security that has been funded by the Middle Class
since its onset. When Social Security passed, not one Republican in the
House or Senate voted for it. Republicans hate Social Security because
the corporations lose control of workers.

The GOP is making a last gasp effort to privatize Social Security. They
are sure to fall on their sorry asses again. Conservatives tried this in
the UK when Margaret Thatcher was the the PM and the program failed.
Most UK citizens ditched the high risk private program for a public one.

The other big Republican lie is we need Alaskan oil. Alaskan oil doesn't
come to the US. It goes to Korea and Japan. Bush could care less about
American oil needs. His concern is big oil profits. That is what driving
the efforts to drill in ANWR.

You liberals, since FDR, have stolen the SS fund blind.  But, as
usual, you try to divert attention from your corrupt ways by
claiming it's the Reipublicans.

Combining the policies of Reagan, Bush 1, and Bush 2, these 3 presidents
have increased the national debt by 20-fold in absolute dollars, and
probably 40-fold if you include the interest on the debt attributable to
them even though they did not hold office.- Hide quoted text -

Presidents don't burden congressional bills with earmarks.
How wil the national debt stand up to the 800-900 billion
dollars of pork that both Obama and Clinton want to add
to the tax payer's backs?
