Christianity Today Doesn't Want to Ban Gay Marriage!

The "gay" agenda is without a doubt one of the hottest (if not
the hottest) issue facing Americans today. Never before in American
history have so many homosexuals been so prevalent in society. Never
before in American history have so many homosexuals been in positions
of power. Whereas homosexuality was once illegal and shunned as a
disgrace in society, today it is readily accepted as an "alternative
lifestyle" and a "right." Whereas psychologists and psychiatrists
were once trained to deal with homosexuality as a "problem," today
they are instead required to help homosexuals accept who they are.
Whereas the Word of God condemns homosexuality as a SIN which brings
the judgment of God (Romans 1:24-32), society today is increasingly
embracing homosexuality as a normal and acceptable way of life. This
is just another indicator of the apostate times we are living in.
We are Living in Some Very Dark Times!
Very few people realize just how far Americans have sunk into the
abyss of evil. As a nation we have allowed the murder of over
40,000,000 little babies through torturous abortion. As a nation we
sat back and watched Terri Schiavo being tortured to death through
dehydration and starvation. As a nation we have allowed our reckless
government to murder over 100,000 innocent Iraqis in a bloodbath based
upon the lies of a corrupt and evil White House administration. As a
nation we have allowed drunken driver after drunken driver to kill
millions of innocent people, yet have failed to do anything about it
(like outlaw alcohol). As a nation we have allowed homosexuality to
flourish, flourish to the point where Christians are now being
arrested for speaking out against homosexuality. Unfortunately, there
are not enough Christians obeying the Scriptures by speaking out
against homosexuality (Psalm 94:16). Thus, homosexuals WILL get their
rights and sin-fighting Christians WILL be persecuted. Halliburton is
presently building concentration camps in the U.S.! You can be
guaranteed it will be the protesters, patriots, and Christians who are
put into them!!! We will all be mislabeled as "terrorists". Are you
aware of the recently created term "Christian Terrorism"? According
to Wikipedia.com:
"Christian terrorism is terrorism that the perpetrator claims is
performed in furtherance of Christian goals or teachings..." -SOURCE
(Wikipedia)
But isn't it interesting in light of all the Alabama churches burned
to the ground in 2006, that no mention was ever made of "terrorists"
setting the fires? So if you block an abortion clinic, you're a
terrorist; but if you burn a church to the ground, then you're just an
arsonist. The Ku Klux Klan has become synonymous with hatred for
homosexuals. The Klan is purposely and falsely labeled as "Christian"
to associated Bible-believing Christians with the group. The truth is
that the KKK is a Satanic organization. You can expect that
government authorities in the near future will be labeling ALL TRUE
Christians as terrorist criminals. This will be easy to do simply by
comparing them to professed pseudo-Christian groups such as the KKK.
In fact, Wikipedia gives a listing of "Christian terrorist" groups on
their website. The term "Christian terrorism" is frightening indeed.
You can also expect that preaching against homosexuality in public
WILL become punishable as hate-crime. The next Democrat to take
office WILL pass similar legislation here in America. Christians who
preach the Word of God WILL go into detention camps.
Christianity Today and Gay Marriage
There was a recent article published in Christianity Today magazine by
Chad W. Thompson. The article is titled "Banning Gay Marriage is Not
the Answer." Mr. Thompson stresses that Christians are often quick to
condemn homosexuality, but fail to reach out in love to the gay
community. Although Thompson's words are eloquent and his motives
seemingly good, it just doesn't work that way. I've met enough
homosexual people in my life to know that they are generally hostile
towards God, the Bible, and Christians. Why? Simply because God has
clearly stated in His Word that homosexuality is an abominable sin
(Leviticus 20:13). Homosexuals have every reason to hate the Bible
and anyone who preaches the Bible's message against homosexuality.
It's amazing how so many people are quick to focus on Jesus' love for
sinners, but always seem to miss those little phrases like in John
5:14...GO AND SIN NO MORE...LEST A WORSE THING COME UNTO THEE. Jesus
didn't avoid the sin issue, we can clearly see that in John
2:15..."And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them
all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the
changers' money, and overthrew the tables." Mr. Thompson's approach
would have been for Jesus to quietly walk into the temple and get to
know the greedy people first.
Jesus didn't condemn people, the Word of God does that. However,
Jesus did preach the Bible. In John chapter four we find Jesus
speaking with a Samaritan woman. Half way through the conversation He
informs her that she is an adulterer (John 4:18). Now that wasn't a
very nice thing to do (was it Mr. Thompson?). The Bible is God's Word
and has already condemned ALL humanity. Jesus didn't come into the
world to condemn anyone simply because the Word of God had already
condemned them (John 3:17,36). Jesus came to this world offering a
solution to man's sin debt. Jesus paid the price for our sins with
His very own blood. Yet, Jesus needed to point out to people the FACT
that they are sinners. You can't get saved if you don't come to the
realization that you are a sinner. If you're not a sinner, then you
wouldn't need a Saviour. The truth is that Jesus always preached the
truth in love, but you need to have BOTH Mr. Thompson's approach is
to reach out to homosexuals in love, but without the truth (or by
watering down the truth).
The truth is intolerant Mr. Thompson. 1 + 1 will always equal 2. You
can try to say that 1 + 1 = 3 if you'd like, but it will never be the
truth. Homosexuality is a sin, and the homosexual community will
NEVER listen to our message of love (anymore than they'll listen to
our message of judgment), just so long as we continue to refuse to
accept their sinful lifestyle. We must preach the message of sin.
The law of God is against all flesh. We are all sinners in need of
salvation. Thank God, I found the Lord Jesus Christ as a teenager and
trusted upon Christ to forgive my sins and save me. Homosexuals can
be forgiven and saved. God doesn't hate anyone, and neither do I.
God loves homosexuals; but hates the sin of homosexuality!
Here is one of Clad Thomson's recommendations for "reaching out" to
the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered) community...
"Attend a gay pride rally in your city, not to politically demonstrate
against homosexuals, but simply to build relationships with them. For
the past few years, I have attended the gay pride parade in Des Moines
simply to pass out cold water and pizza to the lesbian and gay people
in attendance."
Is this what Christianity has come to in America...passing out pizza
at gay parades? What does the Bible say about "building
relationships" with the ungodly...
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what
fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion
hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial?
or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?" -2nd Corinthians
6:14,15
Is that the approach that the Apostle Paul took? Lets take a look at
Acts 20:20,21 to find out...
"And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have
shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward
God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." -Acts 20:20,21
Our message needs to be one of repentance from unbelief towards God,
of turning in faith to the Saviour for the forgiveness of SINS. The
whole purpose of the atoning work of Christ was to save us from our
SINS. The sin issue MUST be addressed. Too many believers are trying
desperately to break away from the "SIN" issue when trying to reach
people for God. The mention of "sin" does offend people, often
greatly. Howbeit, we must not stop preaching that Bible's message
that we are all sinners deserving of hell (Romans 3:10,23; Revelation
20:15).
It is the Gospel of Jesus Christ that saves a person...
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of
God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and
also to the Greek." -Romans 1:16
America Has Gone Apostate!
The way to reach lost sinners is with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The
Gospel is the "power" of God that brings salvation. If a person won't
listen to the plain and simply Gospel of Jesus Christ, then they don't
want to get saved. I agree with Mr. Thompson that we need to get out
amongst the lost sinners we are trying to reach, but we mustn't trim
our message for the sake of being accepted. I am so frustrated by
Christian people who dip their sails (what they really believe) in an
attempt to reach others for God. The homosexuals don't try to hide
who and what they are, neither should we. I am a born again
Christian. I am against all forms of sin (as every Christian should
be). I am against homosexuality, bisexuality, fornication, adultery,
immorality, etc. I make no apologies for the truth. I make no
apologies for what I believe. If I have to hide my true beliefs and
dip my sails to reach someone for God, then I am trying to reach them
under false pretenses.
This weak-kneed Christian generation that we live in is trying to
kowtow with the wicked to reach them for God. The results are
tragic. The whole concept of "Christian rock" is based upon this
faulty reasoning. There is no such thing as "Christian rock." The
FACT is that all rock music is straight from the pits of hell, there
ain't nothing "Christian" about it. America has become so apostate
that lesbians and homosexuals are now pastoring churches and working
in the ministry (Satan's ministry). Should it be surprising that
Christianity Today doesn't want to ban gay marriages? Not at all,
they're going downhill fast. In fact, they also endorse Harry
Potter's witchcraft. We're supposed to be standing firmly against the
wickedness of our day, not rubbing shoulders with the wicked in an
attempt not to offend them...let them be offended! The truth usually
offends people. God is wearied with this truthless generation of
believers.
Gay marriages should be banned! I don't even have to give you
Scripture verses to tell you why gay marriages are so wrong. How can
a child properly develop their own sexual identity when they are
missing a mother or father? A boy growing up with two mothers is
going to be very confused. He needs a father. This is common sense
folks, not rocket science. The Word of God is clear on this matter,
God created Adam and Eve...not Adam and Steve. I sincerely believe
that Chad Thompson's article at Christianity Today is sincere, but gay
marriage should be banned. I agree that Christians need to reach out
to homosexuals with God's love, but reaching out MUST be done in
TRUTH, not compromise. At the end of Mr. Thompson's article, he
says...
"...Ultimately, the battle we fight is not for the banning of same-sex
marriage. Rather, it is a battle to win the hearts of our world's
LGBT people."
Mr. Thompson's article is no doubt a big hit with the homosexual
community because it permits gay marriages. So following Mr.
Thompson's faulty reasoning, we should permit other forms of sin as
well in an attempt to "win the hearts" of the wicked. Thus, we
shouldn't speak out against the adulterous and murderous movies
spewing out of Hollywood (Hollyweird), rather we should pass out pizza
and try to win their cold and stubborn hearts to God. They will laugh
in our faces and spit on us. The way to reach the wicked is with the
power of God, the Gospel (Romans 1:16). 1st Corinthians 1:17
declares..."For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the
gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be
made of none effect." It's the simple Gospel that brings a person to
God.
Love is NEVER Sinful Compromise!
Please don't misunderstand me. We read in Jude 1:22 that compassion
is the only way to reach some people for God. Whereas the letter of
the law killeth, it is the Spirit of God that giveth life. I am not
saying that we shouldn't do everything possible to express God's love
to lost sinners. I am not saying that we should be unkind or rude. I
am not saying that we shouldn't love people. I AM saying that the
wicked and the righteous will never coexist in harmony..."An unjust
man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way
is abomination to the wicked" -Proverb 29:27. A person who is a
homosexual has already sunk to the bottom of the ladder of sin (Romans
1:24,26). Yes, God still loves them, wants to save them, and cares
about them; but most of them are set in their wicked ways (which is
why God gave them up in the first place). In other words, Christians
are wasting their time trying to kowtow with homosexuals...they are
not going to get saved just because we are cooperative with them.
Again, I'm not saying that we should be unkind, not at all. I am not
saying that we shouldn't try to reach homosexuals for God. I AM
simply saying that we shouldn't condone any of their wickedness in an
attempt to win their hearts. Gay marriages SHOULD be banned. If that
offends gays to the point where they'll refuse to get saved, then that
is their problem. We are commanded by God to preach the truth, never
compromisingly for any reason whatsoever. I'm just saying that we
shouldn't back down from the direct truth that HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN.
Christians Must Come Out of Their Closets!
Someone whom I greatly admire, Michael Marcavage
(www.repentamerica.com), recently went to a Phillies ball game. At
the game (with park permission), he displayed a large banner
throughout the game which read "Homosexuality is a sin, Christ can set
you free." Now that's the way we should preach the truth. Everyone
at that ballgame was presented with the issue of SIN, and the solution
which is in the SON, Jesus Christ. In my opinion, Mr. Thompson's
article is nothing less than a carnal Christian's endorsement of gay-
marriage. Banning gay marriages IS the answer for millions-upon-
millions of little children who are going to grow up missing a father
or a mother. What are the "Christians" at Christianity Today
thinking? It's bad enough that homosexuals are coming out of their
closets left and right, it even worse that most of America's
Christians are hiding in their own closets. Come out! Come out!
Come out of your closet oh Christian! Come out! Cry aloud against
the SIN of homosexuality.
If you are a homosexual, God loves you and so do I. I did not write
this article to slander or degrade homosexuals, but rather to remind
Christian believers that there is NO middle ground on this issue.
Homosexuality is a sin and must never be accepted by Bible believing
Christians. To do so is apostasy. Jesus may have been a friend of
sinners, but He certainly did not condone or partake of their their
sins. Gay-marriage must be banned. Too many Christians are becoming
"gay friendly" (meaning that they don't hate homosexuality and are
increasingly becoming acceptant of homosexuality in society). Notice
that I said hate "homosexuality," NOT homosexuals. We are to love
everyone, but love does not mean that we should stop hating sin. Our
love for God and the Word of God MUST come first. As true believers,
we must stand uncompromisingly against the works of darkness, against
the works of Satan, against gay marriages.

According to the Word of God
It is very simple to be saved and takes only a minute to
explain. Please let me show you how to go to Heaven from the Bible,
God's Word...
Man is a sinner.
Isaiah 53:6, "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every
one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us
all."
John 3:3, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say
unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of
God."
Romans 3:10, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not
one."
Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
God."
There is a price on our sin--eternal death in Hell.
Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 5:12, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and
death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have
sinned."
2nd Thessalonians 1:8, "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that
know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ."
Revelation 20:15, "And whosoever was not found written in the book of
life was cast into the lake of fire."
Revelation 21:8, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the

Jesus paid that price by dying on the cross and shedding His blood.

John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.
1st Timothy 1:15, "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all
acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of
whom I am chief."
1st Peter 1:18-19, "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed
with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain
conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the
precious blood of Christ..."
By faith in Jesus Christ ALONE we can be saved.
Salvation is NOT found in a religion or good works, but in a
person... The LORD JESUS CHRIST!
John 11:25, "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:
he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."
John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
John 6:40, "And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one
which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life:
and I will raise him up at the last day."
Mark 1:15, "And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God
is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."
Acts 26:18, "To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to
light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive
forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified
by faith that is in me."
Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved."
1st Corinthians 3:11, "For other foundation can no man lay than that
is laid, which is Jesus Christ."
Galatians 3:26, "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ
Jesus."
HERE IS HOW YOU CALL UPON THE LORD
Do you admit that you are a GUILTY sinner under the condemnation of
God's LAW, deserving of Hellfire?
Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God (God in the flesh) who
died upon the cross, sacrificing His precious blood to pay for your
sins?
All you need to do to be saved is to BELIEVE upon the Lord Jesus
Christ.
Perhaps you'd feel comfortable praying a sinner's prayer as did the
publican in Luke 18:13... "And the publican, standing afar off, would
not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his
breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner."
Dear Jesus,
I admit that I am a sinner, deserving of Hell. Please forgive me of
my sins and take me to Heaven when I die. I now believe upon You
alone, apart from all works and religion, as my personal Savior.
Thank you. Amen.
Just as you were born physically to your parents, you were born
spiritually into the Family of God when you believed on Jesus! (John
3:3). Please understand that we are not saved because we pray a
prayer; but because we believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ. It is
certainly appropriate to ask the Lord in prayer to forgive and save
us; but it is our faith which prompted us to pray the prayer. You
could just as easily believe in your heart upon the Lord to be saved,
and not pray at all. Salvation is of the heart, as we read in Romans
10:10, "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness..."
You do NOT have to be baptized or doing anything to go to Heaven other
than trust upon the Lord as your Savior. Romans 4:5 proclaims... "But
to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the
ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." The only sin which
can prevent a person from being saved is UNBELIEF. Thus, unbelief is
the only sin which a person needs to repent of to be saved. What a
wonderful Savior!
