John Edwards Lumps Karl Rove In With Ann Coulter On Hardball

What a crass, blatant smear from John Edwards speaking on Chris
Matthews'
Hardball:

I think that when people like Ann Coulter-and it's not just her,
unfortunately, it's her and people just like her, Karl Rove and all
those
people. I mean, when they engage us in this kind of hate-mongering,
you
have
to stand up to them. You have to stand up to them.

Whatever your opinion is of Karl Rove, he doesn't have a mouth on him
like
Ann Coulter. But you gotta love the way Edwards is milking this
Coulter
thing for all he's worth by lumping in everyone on the right with her.

I thought his sudden intolerance for hatemongering to be particularly
ironic and hypocritical, given his silence during the past seven years
of
his
party doing little else. Seven years of hearing that Bush is a moron, a
chimp,
a 91 IQ, a liar, a draft dodger and on and on.

What's mean about that?

Did I say mean? I meant vicious, childish bull***. Am I surprised that
leftwing trolls are flocking to defend it here? Not even a little bit.

Should we Lie? We'ed be just like Republicans
then.

No, you're too predictable and stupid to be a Republican. I could have
written both of the idiotic responses to my post from you and your idiotic
sidekick.

Ever watch Leno? At least one
"Bush is stupid" joke virtually every night. Hell, "Bush is stupid" is
the
ONLY Bush joke for most every comic. Remember when Pat Kennedy got drunk
and
practically crashed into the White House? Next day Leno told some
halfassed
joke after prefacing it with "no one got hurt so we can joke about it".
Moments later he told his daily joke about Cheney shooting his friend in
the
face. It's been 16 months and it's still a favorite subject of ridicule.

That Cheney shooting ain't funny! Cheney should be in jail.

What's the charge? Oh yeah, being a Republican, right?

If I shot someone in the face, I can assure you that the police would not
give me 9 hours to sober up before questioning me. Must be that "Executive
priviege" at work.

Comedy Central has it's SECOND half hour comedy designed solely to
ridicule
a sitting president. I remember when such a thing would be
unconscionable.

The last part of that statement is just not true.

Bull***.

Actually, they make fun of both parties, but reality does have a liberal
bias. Fact is, this administration is so inept and criminal it's comedy
gold.

What is
unconscionalble is not being able to criticize a sitting president
because you will be called a traitor by the neocons.

I'd point out the difference between criticism and lying ridicule, but
you've had 7 years to learn the difference and, being a Liberal, are blind
to
it.

Have you seen "Lil Bush"? Young Bush is, of course, stupid. Brother Jeb
is
literally retarded. Father Bush is a henpecked wimp and Barbara is a
bigot.
("It's okay to hate people as long as theu're different from you") Never
seen
anything like it. I could only watch about 15 minutes of it before
disgust
made me change the channel.

I'm not sure I see anything at all unrealistic about any of that. The
latest episode had Lil Tony Blair in it, with Lil Bush saying "I love this
guy. He does everything I say!" I'd say that's about as on the nose as you
can get. I guess the only fault I might find is that GW should be the
retarded one, given I think Jeb might be slightly brighter (in an ant is
slightly brighter than an aphid kind of way) but that wouldn't be as
entertaining as him just being realistically stupid. And of course, grandma
Bush is a notorious bigot. Remember "What I'm hearing, which is sort of
scary, is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the
hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were
underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them." If someone
asked you to make as bigoted a statement as you could come up with, I
seriously doubt you could top that.
