The law is not that wire taps are reviewed after the fact by a judge
and were not issued warrants. If it was then you would not be having

pursue a warrant. The law establishes a special and dedicated court
just for this specific purpose. That's how the law reads, dip***, and
it was signed by Carter and amended by the Patriot Act. That's why lots
of people, including Republicans, have a problem with the Bush
administration because they had that power and the dipshits went ahead
with their illegal program. The vote for the subpoena issued today
wasn't even close. It was 13-3 which included several of the most
powerful Republicans in the Senate.
