And the Bush fanboys seem to completely ignore the bulk of this.

ignoring what you think is so important? Do you believe Jaques Chirac is
paying attention to them? How about Angela Merkel?
care? Do you even know anything about Sun Tzu?
How about Clautzwitz?
- Richard Hutnik
And you do?
Sun Tzu was also a response to the whole, "cut and run" argument.
Please give the quote from Sun Tzu that you're talking about.
The
battle for Iraq was won or loss before a single shot was fired.
Really? How so?
An
intelligent operator in war calculates the cost effectively before
going in.
Again, please give a quote from Sun Tzu.
Also adjusts strategy accordingly and uses diplomacy
effectively when possible.
Quote please.
Care to show how ANY of this is reflective
of Bush's handling of Iraq? Do you?
Sure. Bush recognized the need to protect the US from rogue nations and terrorists. He realized that leaving Saddam to continue his threatening of the West with undisclosed weapons programs, programs the UN pointed to, was unacceptable. Rather than risking the future with Saddam, Bush created a better future for the West and for Iraqis.
Bush did adjust all along the way, and he used diplomacy. He started with the UN, making the case that Saddam violated all sorts of UN resolutions. He also used diplomacy in getting resolutions passed, in getting allies on board, and so forth.
The military had to adjust when the Turks spurned diplomacy and wouldn't allow troops to enter from the north.
Yes, Bush and the military showed a flexible approach to removing Saddam.
Go ahead and show how these quotes below reflect how the White House
has handled Iraq. Go on. Go ahead and show a few other quotes and
show how that reflects how Bush has handled Iraq. Do it. You likely
can't. You will likely girlyman your way out of avoiding Sun Tzu the
same way you girlyman'd your way out of not reading Impostor.

The victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been
won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards
looks for victory.
- Sun Tzu
the general who wins a battle makes many calculations in his temple ere
the battle is fought.
This is stupid. This is like saying, "The student who passes an exam makes much study ere the test is taken."
The general who loses a battle makes but few
calculations beforehand.
Marines getting ready to go into Iraq knew who their counterparts were in the Iraqi military. Now that I call being ready for war.
Thus do many calculations lead to victory,
I think Sun Tzu -- and you -- need a lesson in warfare. Battles turn on all kinds of things. Sure, you "do many calculations", but calculations to not always a winning battle make.
and.
few calculations to defeat: how much more no calculation at all! It is
by attention to this point that I can foresee who is likely to w in or
lose.
