Yes, yes, we know. This economy is in the shitter and the labor market
is the worst since the Depression. Blah, blah, blah.


Unemployment claim numbers, are deceptive. Unemployment benefits can only
be collected for a limited period of time. After that, if you have not
found employment, then no more claims can be made until you DO find
employment. So there is no way of knowing from the above figures how many
of those in 2000 are now working or not working.
