For the past couple of years we've had all kinds of pronouncements about it being too late to repair the impending disaster of global warming.
Are we too late? Is the earth on an inevitable spiral to destruction because of human-produced "greenhouse gases" in the air?
And if it is over for the earth, what do all the global warming adherents think? Are they preparing for a move to another, more hospitable planet? Are they preparing for their survival elsewhere? And what if they don't have any progeny? Does it matter? And why is it important to preserve the earth? Is it just instinct based on a localized view of the universe?
And why is our galaxy -- to say nothing of the earth -- worth saving?
Note the responses I received from the global warming crowd over a little philosophizing.
Are you just a troll or plain stupid, Christian?

The best thing people like you can do for this country and this
planet is to not have any babys. You caonservatives hate sex
anyway. So that shouldn't be much of a problem for you.

When the bigger issues get raised that make global warming look insignificant, they resort to personal attacks and ridicule.
