Because as far I can tell the FBI raid was
unconstitutional. That means the evidence
seized is inadmissible in a court of law.
This raid was nothing more than another
attempt by Bush to grab more power
for the White House. And he used the
fact that Rep. William J. Jefferson is
nothing more than a slime sucking criminal
to turn public opinion to Bush's side.

If Bill Clinton had tried this bull*** on
a republican back when Clinton was
president, every single republican in
America would be screaming for a civil
war.

But make no mistake about it...

When was his trial?

I seem to have missed it

You don't really think he is innocent,
do you? Do you think Bush would have
tried a power grab like this one if Bush
was not sure he could convince America
what kind of sleaze ball his target is?

And America is going to along with it
because Bush will say...
"See, I'm using my new authority to seize
the privileged documents of only criminal
congressmen."

Just like his wiretapping program.
"I'm only listening to Al Qaeda".
