I went by your appearance today but decided not to introduce myself.
You are surrounded by wise guys and thugs4 life and I'm not sure I
fit in. It's like you're hanging out with the Maryland Basketball
Team as your junk yard dogs/\.
Let me be clear about something: the Godfather and the Sopranos are
about domestic terrorists. If this product was being made for domestic
consumption in Tehran, it would be called "Hamas" and feature the
Martyrs Brigade. Whatever honor is to be derived from moral values
which derive from the virtue of selfishness is illusionary and just so
much ***. On the other hand, I consider suicide bombers as a
legitimate military weapon.
Speaking only for myself, I refuse to dignify the doorman class of
Mafia thug with the appellation "soldier". In my lexicon, soldier
is a term of honor, especially citizen soldier and as distinct from law
enforcement officers (as a proxy for fire fighters, EMS, and other
sworn officers of civilian government, Olympic athletes, teachers and
elected officials). The only master these Mafia and Gansta thugs serve
is greed. They don't fall into the same category with Mike Boorda,
who considered it his duty to shot himself to defend the honor of his
shipmates, and Casey Sheehan, who considered it his duty to serve.
This is why Clinton and Gore were so invested in law enforcement in
dealing with terrorism. The people we are dealing with live outside of
the law and the clearest trail we have to follow submits to the
attention to detail of CSI and not the intelligence requirements of the
Recon Platoon, 1/22 Infantry, 4th Infantry Division. They brought
criminal investigators in to toss the Cole after al Qaeda put a hole in
its side. Even the CIA cannot do what law enforcement can do at the
point where the *** hits the fan.
There is this CIA guy who claimed to have bin Ladin in his sights who
is worth talking to on your show. This guy is a soldier. His
description of his war is perfectly consistent with what I understand
of the evolving military situation up until the battle of Tora Bora,
beginning, of course, with 911. There is an important Syriana quality
to the chain of events that was falling into place up until that
instant and represents a distinct phase of the larger battle before
Iraq. Dildo Reilly's stand-in had this guy on today and he, the
host, about wet his pants being so close to someone, the CIA, like
this. One of the things about Ollie North was that he was hot *** in
the Reagan White House exactly because he is a soldier (as a proxy for
members of the active military, gender not specific). This CIA guy is
anti-war. But the kind of intelligence he was trying to produce began
with forensics and other passive data harvesting methods and then
formed into a trail that led to the impossible moonscape of
Afghanistan.
It is important to hear people like this guy and compare him to the
rhetoric of the self-proclaimed social elite who identifies with Evan
Thomas. Get a copy of Inside Washington of this instant. Mark Shields
is exactly correct about everything. His analysis of economics
dovetails substantially with John Edwards' Two Americas observations.
Supply side economics IS class warfare. Supply side economics is the
anti-Affirmative Action. Nixon and Moynihan specifically designed
Affirmative Action to neutralize any tendency to class warfare the
anti-war agitation set into motion by the SDS. Supply-side economics
is the conservative version of the SDS class warfare model. Trotsky is
all about class warfare. The US Constitution is all about universal
collaboration. The only color associated with the grand strategy of
the Nixon-Moynihan Affirmative Action is green. The Points of Light
Project evolved from a subset of this grand strategy and reflects
lessons learned from the Marshall Plan and the Peace Corps in Africa.
` When you are reading the news, the issue you might want to add to
your calculations is that, if we go into Iran like we have gone into
Iraq, we will need a military draft. It's either that or nukes. And
it may take both, anyway. If people like John Bolton continue to have
anything to do with the national interests. John Bolton is a big
reason things got so fucked up in Iraq in the first place. From 911
until Tora Bora, Colin Powell was the dominant voice of reason. After
911, *** Cheney and the Chicken Hawks took over until Fallujah. Since
Fallujah, the relationship between the president and the soldiers and
the president's trust in the soldiers competence in nation building
that has created the opportunity Iraq is exploiting.
Whatever it is going on inside of Iraq, it is not a civil war. It is
more like the IRA trying to assert its will in Dublin instead of
Londonderry. The campaign is against the formation of the elected
government and I wouldn't be surprised one bit to find Ahmed Chalabi
up to his eyeballs in some of this systematic political assassinations.
This is like Argentina during the Disappeared, only the thugs aren't
in the government. And Ahmed Chalabi is nothing more than an
opportunistic thug.
Here's something for you to chew on: if Karl Rove has the brains it
takes to pee and hit the ground without getting his shoes wet in the
woods, he will see that l'Affaire Dubai has revealed Nixon's Silent
Majority. Evan Thomas falls into the elite represented by the 30% who
didn't get the memo. And, by and large, this is the same elite which
ran America over the cliff into Iraq and were part of the lynch mob
leading to impeachment.
Just for the record, Rep. Bill Thomas is pulling a Jeffrey Skilling.
He claims that he is retiring because of term limits and his loss of
the Chairmanship of the Ways and Means Committee. He's leaving
because everything he has touched has turned to *** and he wants to
bail out before the voters realized how badly they have been fucked by
the Contract With America, in a class warfare, tax subsidies for the T.
Boone Pickens wing of the GOP kind of way.
And that's the truth.
