Here's the thing, in the last century, the democratic party and the labor
unions first tried to reason with the conservatives of the times. It
didn't work and they eventually discovered that a baseball bat sometimes
has a better chance changing the minds of a conservative than reasoned
words.

Today the Democrats are a pale shadow of the liberals of the past who
were as willing to stand toe to toe as they were capable of reasoned
debate.

Many of today's democrats think Republicans can be reasoned with using
facts and sound arguements.

They are wrong.

Today the liberals have to again pick up the bat.

On usenet, that means verbally beating these idiots around the head and
shoulders with language they understand whether that's grunts, curse
words or Elizabethan english.

Playing by the rules doesn't work, being a gentleman doesn't work.
