There were a lot of people who had positive feelings about Scalia (or
at
least thought he couldn't be any worse than Bork), but a few who
thought
he would be a right-wing holy terror. Guess who was right about
Scalia
being one of the most egregious judicial activists ever to sit on the
Court.

Scalia brought you Bush v. Gore, which ranks down there with Dredd
Scott
and Plessy as being all-time low points in Court jurisimprudence.

Oh, now the Bush lovers are for states' rights, are they?

Let's talk about states' rights: the same argument has been made that
maybe states should have the right to make their voters pass
history/intelligence/language tests, or pay poll taxes. These were
all
insidious tricks to keep "niggers" from voting or participating as
citizens.

You know where you can shove your states' rights now, doncha?

It's a foregone conclusion that Christian fundamentalist majorities
that
hold forth in the red(neck) states will outlaw abortion with a
vengeance.
Indeed, imagine draconian laws that attempt to punish state residents
for
going out of state to get one in a more enlightened state without any
such
restriction.

Is the NRA overturning "draconian" gun control laws or able to
persuade
anyone not dead-from-the-neck-up that 15 guns per person is what
America
stands for?

There is a rotten-to-the-core, completely incorrigible, and
unfortunately
large count of Americans----such as the members of the Sixty-Two
Million
Idiots Club----who are entrenched and obstinate about their stupidity.
It
is unfortunate that they are Americans. Something went wrong
somewhere,
and yes, maybe the educated liberals are to blame, since they are said
to
control the educational system, and it is this system that has somehow
failed in enlightening these morons who find tractor pulls and
professional wrestling as "entertaining."

The real danger to the future of humanity is the preference
for surrendering to fear, superstition, and faith
in absolutist belief systems, and so to submit to these
willingly and to the control of those demagogues who
make use of these, rather than preferring
to reason with one's own mind.

Crazy adds...

Thanks Winston. Well stated.
