Any draftees in Iraq?
Are there any draftees serving in Iraq or Afghanistan? I don't mean US
troops that were "stop-lossed", I mean, for example, coalition soldiers
from host countries that have mandatory conscription. Much is made of
the "all-volunteer force", but I see that at least some of the
coalition partners are from countries that draft their armies! South
Korea, Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Denmark, Bulgaria, and Norway all have
conscription, which implies that there may be draftees serving in Iraq
or Afghanistan, in this "Coalition of the Willing." Less significant,
but curious, I wonder if there are any US draftees still serving,
perhaps as career officers. Obviously, any of them could have walked
away years ago, but I am still curious about this "all-volunteer" force
that may include personnel who did not volunteer. Does it?
