Not really. The gun of choice for mafia assassins is the .22 semi-auto with
a silencer.

It's "BULLET PLACEMENT" not calibre that ultimately determines
effectiveness. But I understand your point that a larger hole causes more
tissue damage and increases the odds of success.

It's much easier if you have a pistol that fires "single action" instead of

Yes, I know that "Papa" Hemmingway used one, but it pretty much rules out an
"open casket" funeral, don't ya think?

Of course, if you are SQUEAMISH or chicken and reluctant to pull the trigger
on yourself by yourself, you can take your shotgun to a supermarket parking
lot. Scream obscenities and thinks like "Kill the pigs" or "Down with
Capitalism," and when the cops come to arrest you, *point* the shotgun at
them and watch them "help" you out.

"Suicide by cop" is one way to achieve your goals when you're too chicken to
do it yourself.

One word of caution here. Suicide by cop is awfully tough on the officer
involved and his family. They have self recriminations, they can't sleep at
night, sometimes they get hassled by command over the "righteousness" of the
shooting. So I do NOT recommend it. Be kind to Officer Friendly....
