You might want to take a look a a used Fuji A303. 3MP,
Product Dimensions: 1.4 x 3.8 x 2.5 inches ; 5.1 ounces, 3x optical

Wear it on your belt in a nylon camera case, maybe $12.

Maybe you can snag a new one on ebay at a better price or find a
equivalent other brand. The old Fuji J series seems OK; I earlier
mentioned I use a 10MP J150W, now discontinued, about $150 new, and
although the 1st one cratered, Fuji sent be a replacement with a full
warranty and it's worked fine for the last 2 years. A J100 might fit
your needs. Check 'em out.
