I didn't need Google to know what he was asking about. I needed a
Magic 8-Ball to figure out *why* he was asking, though.

I suspect he's hoping I'll trip up. It's entirely possible, too.

Like most people who take a lot of photographs, and take some care in
how the post-processing is done, I'm past checking the results against
the "rules". Application of some of the "rules" becomes instinctive
just as knowing when to ignore the "rules" does.

You tripped up before, during, and after. But, the purpose isn't to trip
you up and laugh at Tony, or for you to figure out my motive in some lead
you down the garden path sort of way. Assuming that is a mistake. The
purpose is understanding via the Zen perspective.

Like Sisker you can't see the invisible rules your own mind is laying over
everything so you perceive scenes, process photos, and judge people and
communication in a certain way but don't realise it. This is your bias and
comes with strengths and weaknesses.

Magnificent! Quite an accomplishment to string so much twaddle
together in one post.

The inverse snobbery isn't doing you any favours. It just betrays a
monumental lack of understanding and self-awareness.

Peter comments that after a while you learn to hear what the picture is
trying to say but if you're locked up too tight all you hear is your own
mind echoing back to you.

You can't or won't get this, and that's your biggest problem.

You might want to read Peter's post again. He's agreeing with what I
said. Whatever it is I get, he gets too.

Tony,

And I get it too, even though Hardwidge keeps bring up my name, and always out on content, as an example of people he thinks doesn't. The bottom line is, you just can't educate a person who thinks they already know everything. That's why there are so many uninformed people in the world. In addition, I think many others are now starting to see through his biased agenda, as their direct communications to him has certainly been curtailed.

Which was why I didn't bother to reply.

Peter,

Well, at least you didn't bother to reply directly. Yet, it has always been somewhat puzzling to me that a lot of his responses to others seldom seems to be on the actual subject of photography itself, but more on their so-called personality flaws, which he feels he is also the authority on that as well. I think most know better.
